On first use it is sometimes necessary to wait for a few minutes of charge before seeing icons on the display. The meaning of the symbols is the following : The handset is within range of the base station.When the symbol is blinking the handset is almost out of range. Move closer to the base station.The symbol disappears if handset out of range.

DECT111 UK master.qxd 07/07/2004 Installing your DECT 111 Plug the power supply & line cord into the base station If you have a broadband DSL internet Installation, please make sure you have one DSL filter plugged directly on each line socket used in the house and check the modem and the phone are plugged in the correct filter slot (one specific for each) Plug the power supply & line cord into the wall socket. Always use the cables provided in the box. 3 Slide open the battery compartment cover.

Dial the number. To make an internal call (DECT 111 Duo) Long press on R key. The other handset rings. Answer the call on the called handset. Predialling Dial the phone number. The memory number 0 appears. Press again to choose another memory. Enter the number. Press the Programming key to save the number If you make a mistake press the Correction key to delete incorrect digits. To make a call from the phonebook Press the Phonebook key . The first number is displayed.

The other handset will ring. The call is put on hold. Both internal parties can talk together. Press the Talk key to transfer the call. Or Press R again if there is no answer from the other handset. To redial the last 10 dialled numbers Press the Redial key. Display shows the last number dialled.

To mute the handset During a call: Press the Correction key. The display shows the mute symbol. The call is put on hold and the other party no longer hears you. Press again the Correction key to end mute. The call is resumed whith the caller.

Press the Programming key. Press 2. Enter your 4-digit PIN code. Press the Programming key to save the setting. When activated, the baby call number is displayed. To program the Baby call Press the Programming key. Press 3. Enter your 4-digit PIN code. Press the Programming key.

The current setting is displayed (1/6 for example). Enter your choice of ring tone 1, 2, ..., or 6. The selected ring tone is played Press the Programming key to save the setting To set the ring tone volume You can choose from 3 ring tone volumes. Press the Programming key. Press 6. The current setting is displayed (1/3 for example).

Press the Programming key. Press R. Select 1, 2, ..., or 7. Press the Programming key to save the setting.

Press 1. Enter the default 4-digit PIN code. Press the Programming key. Enter the new 4-digit PIN. Press the Programming key. Enter again the new 4-digit PIN. Press the Programming key to save PIN code. To activate/deactivate the key tones Press the Programming key.

CAUSES SOLUTIONS - The base station is not properly connected to electricity or to the telephone sockets. - Check the connections.(p 4).
