Turn on the TV and select the TV channel to the video channel on the TV. Press VCR, then DISC/VCR MENU. Press K/L to select “INITIAL”, then press B. Press K/L to select “CH TUNING”, CH TUNING then press B. Press K/L to select “AUTO”, then B AUTO press B.

If you use PLAY B, REW h , or F.FWD g on the front panel while a cassette is in the cassette compartment and the unit is in standby, the power will be turned on and the corresponding operation will be performed automatically. This unit can only record and playback standard VHS cassettes. Put a cassette into the cassette slot.

To help reduce these from occurring, proceed as follows: Find the tape position of the old recording where you want to insert the new recording. Look at the last minute of the old recording (playback).
E8B23AD_EN 5/26/06 10:12 AM Page 12 Programming a Recording (TIMER) How to check, correct or delete a programmed recording (TIMER) 1 Press TIMER SET. • If the unit’s power is off, press y instead of TIMER SET, then go to the next step. 2 Repeat steps 1 to 3 in the “Programming a Recording” section. 3 Select the timer block number you want to check by pressing K/L. • The details of the selected timer block appears on the TV screen. • Press B and then go to the digit you want to change by pressing s / B.

Make sure the TV and audio receiver (commercially available) are set to the correct channel. Press y. Press DVD, then OPEN/CLOSE to open disc loading tray. Place the chosen disc in the tray, with the label facing up. Press PLAY B.

Slow forward or reverse speed varies with the disc. Approximate speed is 1 (1/16), 2 (1/8) and 3 (1/2). 4 To return to normal playback, press PLAY B. Notes: - Slow Reverse is not available on Video CD and DivX® files.

Notes: - The repeat A-B section can only be set within the current title (for DVDs), or current track (for Video CDs, Audio CDs and discs with DivX® files). - Repeat A-B is not available with some scenes in DVD. - To cancel the A point which was set, press CLEAR.

DivX® Subtitle The subtitle created by the user can be displayed during DivX® SUBTITLE LIST playback.

If you select “NO”, the menu screen disappears and Progressive is “OFF”. If you select “YES”, the menu screen will disappear and Progressive will be “ON”. – If you do not press any buttons for 15 seconds, Progressive Scan will switch to OFF. DivX® Language options are not available with some discs. Press DVD SETUP in stop mode.
