Sound and Volume Controls
Sound control
MAX Sound
MAX sound provides the best mixture of
various sound features.
Press MAX SOUND on the system or MAX
button on the remote control to achieve optimal
sound.
When MAX sound is activated, MAX icon
will blink and MAX ONwill appear on the
display for 3 seconds. MAX LED will be lighted.
Press MAX SOUND or MAX button again to
deactivate MAX function.
When MAX sound is deactivated, MAX
OFFwill appear on the display for 3 seconds.
MAX LED and MAX icon turn off.
Note:
When MAX sound is selected, other sound
modes will be switched off automatically.
DBB (Dynamic Bass Boost)
To enhance the bass response, press DBB once
or more to select your option: DBB 1, DBB 2,
DBB 3 or DBB OFF.
Display shows DBB level briefly if DBB is
activated. DBB icon lights up.
DBB OFF appears if DBB is deactivated.
DBB icon turns off.
Note:
– Some discs or tapes might be recorded in high
modulation, which causes a distortion at high
volume. If this occurs, deactivate DBB or reduce the
volume.
Selecting sound effect
The digital sound effect allows you to select from
various preset modes that control the frequency
bands of sound to optimize certain musical
styles. It greatly enhances the excitement and
enjoyment of your favorite music.
Press SOUND repeatedly to select the
available sound effect.
Playing a DVD/VCD
You can select Virtual Ambience Control (VAC)
as follows:
CONCERT, DRAMA, ACTION, SCI-FI.
Playing a CD/MP3/WMA or in TUNER,
TAPE or AUX mode
You can select Digital Sound Control (DSC):
DIGITAL, CLASSIC, JAZZ, ROCK.
Volume control
Changing the volume level
Rotate VOLUME clockwise / anti-clockwise (or
press VOL +/-) to increase or decrease the
volume level.
VOL MIN is displayed at minimum level .
VOL MAXis displayed at maximum level.
Switching off the volume temporarily
Press MUTE.
MUTE ONis displayed.
Press MUTE again to cancel the MUTE mode.
MUTE OFF will appear.
Note:
Press MUTE again or increase/ decrease the
volume level to cancel the MUTE mode.
Listening through headphones
Connecting headphones to ; on the system
will switch off the speakers.
Disconnecting the headphones will switch on
the speakers again.
