ENGLISH 7 Safety cut-out This appliance is equipped with a safety cut-out that switches the appliance off if it overheats.This may happen if there is not enough oil or fat in the fryer or if blocks of solid fat are being melted in the fryer, which will prevent the heating element from being able to give off its heat. ◗ If the fryer doesn't work anymore, let the oil or fat cool down and turn to your Philips dealer or a service centre authorised by Philips.
B ENGLISH For information about which temperature to select, check the package of the food to be fried or the table at the end of these instructions for use. The oil or fat will be heated to the selected temperature in 10 to 15 minutes. While the fryer is heating up, the pilot light goes out and on a number of times.When it stays out for some time, the oil or fat has reached the preset temperature. After a batch has been fried, the pilot light also goes on.

DEUTSCH 16 Der automatische Überhitzungsschutz Dieses Gerät ist mit einem automatischen Überhitzungsschutz ausgestattet, der es bei Gefahr einer Überhitzung automatisch ausschaltet. Der Überhitzungsschutz wird beispielsweise ausgelöst, wenn sich nicht genügend Öl in der Fritteuse befindet oder wenn feste Fette geschmolzen werden, da das Heizelement in diesem Fall die Wärme nicht abgeben kann.

NEDERLANDS 36 Oververhittingsbeveiliging Het apparaat is uitgerust met een oververhittingsbeveiliging die het apparaat uitschakelt indien het oververhit raakt. Dit kan gebeuren als er onvoldoende olie of vet in de friteuse zit of als er blokken vast frituurvet in de friteuse worden gesmolten, waardoor het verwarmingselement niet in staat is de geproduceerde hitte snel genoeg af te geven.

Gebruikt vast vet kunt u afvoeren door het eerst in de friteuse te laten stollen (zonder de frituurmand erin) en het vervolgens met een spatel uit de friteuse te scheppen en in een krant te verpakken. De flessen olie of vloeibaar vet of de krant met vast vet kunt u deponeren in de container voor restafval (niet in de biobak) of afvoeren volgens de lokale voorschriften.
NEDERLANDS 41 Bijsmaakjes wegwerken Bepaalde etenswaren, met name vis, kunnen de olie of het vet een bijsmaakje geven. U kunt het volgende doen om dit te verhelpen: 1 Verhit de olie of het vet tot 160cC. 2 Doe twee dunne sneetjes brood of een paar takjes peterselie in de friteuse. 3 Wacht tot er geen luchtbelletjes meer te zien zijn en schep dan het brood of de peterselie met een spatel uit de friteuse. De olie of het vet is nu weer neutraal van smaak.
