4 Clean the detachable parts (see chapter ‘Cleaning’).
5 Flush the appliance (see section ‘Flushing the appliance below).

1 Open the lid of the coffee maker (Fig. 3).
2 Fill the water tank with fresh cold water up to the MAX indication (Fig. 4).
3 Put the jug on the hotplate. (Fig. 5)
4 Set the on/off switch to ‘I’ to switch on the appliance (Fig. 6).
, The power-on light goes on.
5 Let the appliance operate until all the water has run into the jug.
6 Switch off the appliance. Let it cool down for at least 3 minutes before you start brewing
coffee.


1 Open the lid of the coffee maker (Fig. 3).
2 Fill the water tank with fresh cold water up to the required level (Fig. 4).
You can brew 4 large cups (120ml) or 6 small cups (80ml) with a full water tank
Note: The lines on the water level window correspond to large cups.
3 Take a paper lter (type 1x2 or no. 2) and fold the sealed edges to prevent tearing and
folding (Fig. 7).
4 Put the lter in the lter holder (Fig. 8).
Note: Some versions come with a permanent lter. In this case you do not need to use paper lters.
5 Put ground coffee (lter-ne grind) in the lter (Fig. 9).
- For large cups: use one heaped measuring spoon of ground coffee for each cup.
- For small cups: use one level measuring spoon of ground coffee for each cup.
6 Close the lid of the coffee maker. (Fig. 10)
7 Place the jug with the lid closed on the hotplate (Fig. 5).
Note: If you do not place the jug properly on the hotplate, the drip stop prevents the coffee from owing
into the jug. This may cause the lter to overow.
8 Set the on/off switch to ‘I’ to switch on the appliance (Fig. 6).
, The power-on light goes on.
9 Let the water pass through the lter into the jug.
Note: If you want to remove the jug during or after brewing, the drip-stop system prevents coffee from
dripping through the lter onto the hotplate (Fig. 11).
10 Put the jug with the remaining coffee back onto the hotplate to keep the coffee hot and to
preserve its avour.
11 After use, set the on/off switch to ‘O’ to switch off the appliance.
Note: If you want to brew another jug of coffee right away, let the appliance cool down for 3 minutes
rst.
