HMP7100 Firmware upgrade Instruction

Preparation for firmware upgrade:

For upgrade via internet network:

• Get your product connected to internet via LAN cable or wireless internet network.

From the Home screen, go to in the SMART TV portal, you can register with Club

Philips. By doing so, you can get information about the product and software updates.

For upgrade via USB storage device:

• A PC with an archive utility that supports the ZIP-format (e.g. WinZip for Windows).

• A USB flash device with enough free space to hold the firmware file. An empty one is advised

to avoid a crash among files. (You can check the size of the firmware file at the top of the

screen.)

Upgrade procedure

Step1 Check your current firmware

1. Power on the HMP7100.

. Select [Setup]  [Advanced]  [Version Info] in the TV screen. 3. The firmware version will be displayed on the TV screen. 4. Compare the firmware version displayed to the latest version. If the existing firmware in your player is an earlier version than the new release, please proceed to Step 2. Otherwise, the latest firmware is installed and hence an upgrade is not needed.

) Download the Firmware updated. 4) Unzip the downloaded file and make sure that unzipped folder name is “UPG”. Put the “UPG” folder to the root directory of USB storage device. An empty USB is advised to avoid a crash among files. 2. On HMP7100 do the following 1) Connect the USB storage device . 2) On the Home screen. Go to update]USB [setup][Advanced][Software  If a firmware update is detected, you are prompted to start the update. 3. Follow onscreen instructions to complete the update.
