English Option 1: Connect to the HDMI jack Connect this Home Theater System to TV to view disc play. Select the best video connection that the TV can support. • Option 1: Connect to the HDMI jack (for a HDMI, DVI or HDCP-compliant TV). • Option 2: Connect to the component video jacks (for a standard TV or progressive scan TV). • Option 3: Connect to the video (CVBS) jack (for a standard TV).

Connect speakers and subwoofer For models with tallboy speakers. Connect radio antenna FM (75 Ω) Connect audio cables/other devices Route the audio from other devices to this Home Theater System to enjoy audio play with multi-channel surround capabilities. ANTENNA Connect audio to TV 1 2 (also used for EasyLink control) Connect the FM antenna to the FM75 jack on this Home Theater System (for some models, this cable is already connected). Extend the FM antenna and fix its ends to the wall.

2 Change speaker settings Ideally, the distance between listening position and all the speakers should be the same. If not, change the speaker settings based on their distance from the listening position to obtain the best possible surround sound. Selects the subtitle language on a disc. Selects or turns off repeat or shuffle mode. Repeat options vary depending on the disc type. For VCDs, repeat play is only possible if the PBC mode is turned off. Zooms in or out of the picture. To pan through the zoomed image, press the Navigation buttons.
Access VCD menu or preview menu Sync audio output with video play The PBC (Playback Control) for VCD is activated by default in the factory. When you load a VCD, the contents menu is displayed. If the video play is slower than the audio output (sound does not match with the pictures), you can delay the audio output to match the video. 1 2 Press to select a play option, then press OK to start play. • If PBC is off, it skips the menu and starts play from the first title.

Sound Play No sound. • Ensure that the audio cables are connected and press the correct input source (for example, , USB) to select the device you want to play. DivX video files cannot be played. • Ensure that the DivX file is encoded according to the ‘Home Theatre Profile’ with the DivX encoder. • Ensure that the DivX video file is complete. No sound on HDMI connection. • Sound cannot transmit through HDMI connection if the connected device is non-HDCP compliant or only DVIcompatible.
D J DivX® The DivX® codec is a patent-pending, MPEG-4 based video compression technology developed by DivX®, Inc. It can shrink the file size of digital video and still maintain high visual quality. JPEG A very common digital still picture format.
