BEFORE YOU START After you have completed all the connections, you must find the viewing channel (external input channel) on your TV. BASIC PLAYBACK Playing Back a BD or a DVD 1 2 Insert a disc (refer to page 21 on how to insert a disc). Playback may start automatically. If not, press [PLAY B]. Some discs may show a title or a disc menu. In this case, refer to “Using the Title / Disc Menu” on page 25. To pause playback: Press [PAUSE F]. To return to the normal playback: Press [PLAY B]. SPECIAL PLAYBACK Note • During the random playback, press [STOP C] once to set the resume point, and then press [PLAY B] to resume random playback from where [STOP C] was pressed (audio CD) or from beginning of the file where [STOP C] was pressed (MP3/WMA/JPEG). • To repeat the current track / file in the random selection, press [REPEAT] repeatedly until “ Track” appears during playback. To repeat the entire random selection press [REPEAT] repeatedly until “ All” appears during playback.

RADIO OPERATIONS Before you start ..... Connect the supplied FM wire antenna to the inner pin of the FM ANT 75Ω jack. Extend the FM antenna and fix its ends to the wall for optimum reception. Note • For better FM stereo reception, connect an external FM antenna (not supplied). • Position the antenna as far away as possible from your TV, VCR or other radiation source to prevent any unwanted interference.

TROUBLESHOOTING No audio / video signal on the display device via HDMI cable. No high-definition video signal on the TV. Cannot play back a disc. Cannot play back Windows Media™ Audio files from a disc. Cannot play back DivX® files from a disc. Cannot find an MP3 and Windows Media™ Audio file. Error message appears when I select “Auto” in the “OSD Language”. The operation is not possible. Make sure that the selected group (folder) does not contain more than 9,999 files for DVD, and 999 files for CD.
TROUBLESHOOTING GENERAL Problem Cannot connect to the network. Cannot connect to the network while my PC is connected to the network. The capacity of the SD Card decreased. MPEG-2 video and audio on the SD card cannot be played back. The contents of the card cannot be read. No audio from iPod playback. Radio reception is poor. Cannot use the BD-Live function or download of data does not perform properly. Cannot play back BD-video(BDROM Profile 2.0).
GLOSSARY DNS Server An electrical signal that directly represents sound. Compare this to digital audio which can be an electrical signal, but is an indirect representation of sound. See also “Digital Audio”. A server which translates Internet domain names into IP addresses. Aspect Ratio BD-Live The system to compress digital sound developed by Dolby Laboratories. It offers you sound of stereo (2ch) or multichannel audio.
GLOSSARY Hub Sampling Frequency A device used for connecting multiple device to the network. The rate which sound is measured by a specified interval to turn into digital audio data. The numbers of sampling in one second defines as sampling frequency. The higher the rate, the better the sound quality. IP Address A set of numbers which are assigned to devices participating in a computer network. JPEG (Joint Photographic Experts Group) JPEG is a method of compressing still picture files.
