Call screening
If your answering machine is recording the callers message (the handset displays
t
and
l
blinks simultaneously on all handsets), you can listen to the caller
before deciding whether you answer the call or not.
Press
H
on the handset.
H
is displayed.
You can listen to the caller on the handset loudspeaker without being heard.
The answering machine continues handling the call.
Press
H
again to stop screening without taking the call.
During call screening, you can adjust the handset loudspeaker volume by pressing
the
-
and
+
keys.
You can choose from three possible sound levels: soft, m edium and loud.
By default, the volume is set to medium.
Note:
Call screening can be activated on only one handset at a time.
During call screening, you can answer the call by pressing the
t
key.
Listening to received messages
The
E
symbol on the handset screen indicates that new messages have been
received.
Press
r
to enter memo recorder mode.
The day, time and number of messages received are displayed.
The memo recorder plays back the m essages automatically.
To handle your mes sages during playback, use the following keys:
Press
<
to play the current message again.
Press
<
twice to hear the previous message again.
Press
>
to listen to the next message.
Press
s
to stop message playback.
Press
r
to exit memo recorder mode.
Note:
If you have listened to all the new m essages, you can listen to all the
recorded messages (old ones and new ones) by pressing on the
V
key.
