additional telephone you hear that
your fax machine has already
gone off-hook.
Received documents do not
appear as normal at the front of
the fax machine.
Your additional telephone is connected in
parallel.
Press the

key twice to switch off the
ringing tone. You can now make a call
without interference (see chapter 4 Fax
switch/Additional devices).
Paper jam. Open the operation panel and ink film
cover. Leave the paper refill flap closed.
Pull the crumpled paper out carefully
from inside.
You have switched on an
answering machine and cannot
receive any faxes.

The ring count of the answering machine
is higher than that of the fax machine.
You use background music.
Your outgoing message is too long.
Set the ring count of the answering
machine to 1 - 2. The ring count of the fax
machine in function 31 should have two
rings more.
Record a message without music.
Record a shorter announcement (no
longer than 20 seconds).
Your ink film cover is open. Close the cover.
One sheet or more sheets of paper were
not drawn in straight.
Too many sheets were inserted (i.e.
more than 50 sheets).
Open the operation panel and the ink film
cover and pull the paper carefully
outwards from the inside.
One document was not drawn in straight
or more than one document has been
drawn in at the same time.
Open the operation panel and pull the
paper carefully outwards in one direction.

INKFILM LOW
Your inkfilm is nearly used up. Get a new inkfilm.
