You can disable the Tape Manager if you don’t want to use it.

Press the VCR button, then press the MENU button.

Press the PLAY 8 or STOP 9 button to select TAPE
MANAGER, then press the OK/STATUS button.

Press the PLAY 8 or STOP 9 button to select TAPE
MANAGER, then press the FF 4 button so that OFF
appears beside TAPE MANAGER.
