4.3. Error Detection
The solid-state reversing contactor is not only capable to detect many internal errors, but also external
error (peripheral errors) by various diagnostics functions. All internal errors cannot be acknowledged and
are stored in the device. The device then cannot be started again. The operating conditions are displayed
by LEDs.
Explanation:
E = LED lights up
B = LED flashes approx. 2 Hz (50:50)
A = LED switched off
Error Cause LED: PWR ERR L R Acknowledg-
ment
Bimetal function The motor current is greater than the rated motor
current (i.e. Class 10 A).
Cooling time on! (20 minutes)
An error occurred during the reverse running. E B E A Automatic

"L" or "R" flashes after two minutes:
Manual resetting is possible.

Error when restoring
the system condition.
Incorrect checksum.
The thermal memory of the bimetal function is set
to the maximum value. The error must also be
acknowledged manually in the automatic mode.
EBBB Manual
Symmetry The two motor currents deviate by more than
20 %.
EBAA Manual
Phase failure One of the two measured motor currents is zero or
the phase shift between the two motor currents
does not equal 120°, but 180°
EBAA Manual
Blockage The maximum measurable motor current is
exceeded for more than 1.5 s.
