5.3. Motor Protection
Using the solid-state reversing contactor in the area of the motor protection is designed as simple as
possible: Functions relevant for safety are realized by the solid-state reversing contactor without any ex-
ternal influences. Special switching techniques are not required.
The wiring of the load current circuit should be implemented as in the above listed examples. In contrast,
the module current supply, however, can be connected directly to the voltage source without a safety re-
lay PSR. This applies for the control.
5.4. Motor with brake
If a motor with brake (connection in the motor terminal board) is connected, the brake must be connected
to the 2/T1 and 6/T3 (400 V AC) connections. A 230 V AC brake must be connected to the 4/T2 connec-
tion and the star point of the motor.
Please note the following:
The motor current monitoring must be increased by the value of the brake (nominal current of the brake).
Configure the relevant setting on the solid-state reversing contactor (refer to point 4.2, page 19)!
5.5. Auxiliary relay connection
Auxiliary relay for activating external brakes or acknowledgements to the PLC (e.g. PLC RSC 230UC/21,
order no.: 2966207) must be connected to the "4T2" and "N" connection of the system.
