The new, modular FAME 2 measuring transducer test system enables all transformer
testing tasks to be carried out quickly and safely.
The transformer short circuits automatically when the test plug is inserted. The time-con-
trolled signal sequence when pulling out the plug is prompted by the patented twist grip
mechanism. In conjunction with the comprehensive shock protection, this provides max-
imum safety when measuring.
Due to the FAME 2 system's opening function, additional operating plugs are not re-
quired for normal operation.

Normal operation
Additional operating plugs are not required
for normal operation; the measuring trans-
ducer operates safely and reliably. Optional-
ly, the plug-in zone can be covered with a
blind plug to prevent unauthorized access.
Transformer short circuit
When replacing the protective device or
even in the case of a relay test, a leading
short circuit of the current transformer
ahead of the signal splitting can be easily car-
ried out by means of a jumper inserted
crossways.
Connected measuring transducers are safe-
ly protected against damage.
Test operation
With the jumper simply inserted lengthways
in the test plug, test equipment can be easily
looped into the current path via the 4 mm
test sockets.
