Outputting sound
Check that the unit and the external devices are properly connected
before outputting sound.
Connecting input/output terminals (page 23)
Adjust the volume of the power amplifier or powered speakers
connected to the [MASTER1] and [MASTER2] output terminals to an
appropriate level. Note that loud sound may come out if the volume is
set too high.
1 Select the input selector switch.
Select the input source for [CH3] or [CH4].
To output sound from [CH1] or [CH2], this step isn’t necessary.
[LINE]: Selects a DJ player, etc. connected to the [LINE] input terminal.
[PHONO]: Selects a turntable connected to the [PHONO] input terminal.
: Selects the sound from the PC/Mac connected to the [ USB] port.
2 Turn the [TRIM] knob.
Adjust the sound level input to each channel.
The channel level indicator lights up.
3 Move the channel fader away from you.
Adjust the sound level output from each channel.
4 Select the [CROSSFADER ASSIGN (A, THRU, B)] switch.
Change the output destination for each channel.
[A]: Assigns output to [A] (left) of the crossfader.
[B]: Assigns output to [B] (right) of the crossfader.
[THRU]: Select this when you don’t want to use the crossfader. (The signals
don’t pass through the crossfader.)
5 Move the crossfader.
6 Turn the [MASTER LEVEL] knob.
The sound is output from the [MASTER 1] and [MASTER 2] output terminals.
The master level indicator lights up.
