Chapter Precaution 04 Visit our website The microSD card and microSDHC card are collectively referred to as the “microSD card”. p Keep the microSD card out of the reach of small children to prevent them from accidentally swallowing it. p Do not store the microSD card in high temperatures or direct sunlight. p Do not subject the microSD card to shock or impact. p Do not allow the microSD card to come into contact with liquids.
Chapter 05 Functions enabled or disabled by upgrade If you upgrade your navigation system using this product, the system will have the following changes. Grouping: 1: AVIC-F930BT 2: AVIC-F940BT or CNSD-310FM p On AVIC-F8430BT, only the map database is updated.

Other items will be retained. However, some items are not listed because the setting can be easily recovered by users, such as the last cursor position on the map screen. Bold indicates functions or command names.
Chapter 06 Instructions for upgrading The navigation system upgrade process 1 Check the device number of your navigation system. = For details of the operation, refer to Checking the device number on page 18. j 2 Get the password for authentication. = For details, refer to Getting the password for authentication on page 18. j 3 Upgrade the software programme of your navigation system. = For details of the operation, refer to Upgrading the software programme and the map database on page 19.

Upgrade procedures The message confirming whether or not to enter the password will appear. 4 Touch [Yes]. After a short pause, the keyboard for entering the password will appear.
Chapter Instructions for upgrading 06 7 Wait until the upgrade process is complete. Updating the Bluetooth wireless technology software Access the Pioneer website to check your phone’s compatibility. If your phone is on the list and you wish to update, manually update the Bluetooth firmware after the automatic upgrade is finished. http://www.pioneer.eu CAUTION After the installation is complete, the navigation system restarts.
Chapter Instructions for upgrading 06 Instructions for upgrading 7 If the current version is 3.22 or later, touch [Firmware update]. The message confirming whether or not to start the update will appear. 8 Make sure that the current Bluetooth firmware version is 3.22 or later and the new Bluetooth firmware version is 3.32. 9 Touch [Yes]. Update starts. 10 Wait until the upgrade process is complete. A message will appear after the update is complete. 11 Touch [OK].
Chapter 07 Using the rear view camera functions p The instructions in this section apply to every model except AVIC-F8430BT. 3 Put the gearstick in reverse and display the rear view camera screen. Setting guidelines on the rear view image CAUTION ! When adjusting the guidelines, be sure to park the vehicle in a safe place and apply the handbrake. ! Before getting out of the car to place the markings, be sure to turn the ignition switch off (ACC OFF).
Chapter Using the rear view camera functions 07 8 Touch [OK]. The set value is saved and the rear view image appears. # If you touch [Clear], the point returns to the preadjustment position. # If you touch , the display returns to the setting screen for guidelines without reflecting the setting.
Appendix Troubleshooting Problems in the procedures for updating Symptom Cause Action The upgrade process doesn’t start and the navigation system boots up as usual. An incorrect microSD card has been inserted. Eject the inserted microSD card and insert the correct upgrade microSD card. Upgrade has been already done. Check whether the upgrade was done properly. If the upgrade has not been done yet, consult the nearest authorised service station.
