Section IMPORTANT INFORMATION 01 English ABOUT YOUR NEW NAVIGATION SYSTEM AND THIS MANUAL ! The navigation features of this product (and rear view camera option if purchased) are intended solely to aid you in the operation of your vehicle. It is not a substitute for your attentiveness, judgement and care when driving. ! Never use this navigation system to route to hospitals, police stations, or similar facilities in an emergency. Please call the appropriate emergency number.

Section Connecting the System 03 WARNING Pioneer does not recommend that you install your navigation system yourself. We recommend that only authorised Pioneer service personnel, who have special training and experience in mobile electronics, set up and install this product. NEVER SERVICE THIS PRODUCT YOURSELF.
Section 03 Connecting the System ! To avoid shorts in the electrical system, be sure to disconnect the (–) battery cable before beginning installation. When disconnecting a connector, pull the connector itself. Do not pull the lead, as you may pull it out of the connector.
Section Connecting the System English Notice for the blue/white lead ! When the ignition switch is turned on (ACC ON), a control signal is output through the blue/white lead. Connect to an external power amp’s system remote control terminal (max. 300 mA 12 V DC). The control signal is output through the blue/white lead, even if the audio source is switched off. ! Do not connect this lead to the auto-aerial relay control terminal or the aerial booster power control terminal.

Section 03 Connecting the System Connecting the power cord (1) Notes Note Depending on the kind of vehicle, the function of *3 and *5 may be different. In this case, be sure to connect *2 to *5 and *4 to *3. *1 *3 *2 *5 *4 • When a subwoofer (*8) is connected to this navigation system instead of a rear speaker, change the rear output setting in the Initial Setting. (Refer to the operation manual.) The subwoofer output of this navigation system is monaural.

If not, keep the Audio Mute lead free of any connections. Note Audio source will be set to mute or attenuate, while the following sounds will not be muted or attenuated. Section 03 Connecting the System CAUTION Be sure to use a CD-RM10 (sold separately) for wiring. If you use other cables, there is a case where wiring position differs, images and sounds may be disturbed.

Therefore, their quality will be inferior to the images that appear on the front display. ! Section 04 Installation Precautions before installation WARNING Pioneer does not recommend that you install or service your navigation system yourself. Installing or servicing the product may expose you to risk of electric shock or other hazards. Refer all installation and servicing of your navigation system to authorised Pioneer service personnel. CAUTION ! Never install this product in places where, or in a manner that: — It could injure the driver or passengers if the vehicle stops suddenly.
Section Installation Installing this navigation system ! Install the hide-away unit horizontally on a surface within +30 degrees to –30 degrees tolerance (within five degrees to the left or right of your vehicle’s direction of travel). Mis-installing the unit with the surface tilted more than these tolerances would increase the potential for errors in the location display, and might otherwise cause reduced display performance.
Section 04 Installation ! When installing the hide-away unit in the boot, use the extension cable (e.g. CDSC300E)(sold separately). ! Do not install the display unit in a position where the opening of the LCD panel is obstructed by any obstacles, such as the gearstick. This may cause interference with the gearstick, or a malfunction of the mechanism of the display unit.

If it is left on the outside it may be knocked off and scratch the vehicle body.
Section Installation 04 Affix the metal sheet on as level a surface as possible where the GPS aerial faces the window. Place the GPS aerial on the metal sheet. Section After Installation 05 English After Installing this Navigation System 1 Reconnecting the battery. First, double-check that all connections are correct and that this product is installed correctly. Reassemble all vehicle components that you previously removed. Then reconnect the negative (–) cable to the negative (–) terminal of the battery. 2 Start the engine. 3 Press RESET button. Press RESET button on the display unit using a pointed object such as the tip of a pen.

La antena debe instalarse en una superficie nivelada donde las ondas de radio queden bloqueadas lo menos posible. Las ondas de radio no podrán ser recibidas por la antena si la emisión desde el satélite queda bloqueada. Para optimizar la recepción se recomienda realizar la instalación en el techo o en la cubierta del maletero del vehículo.
Sección 04 Instalación Cuando instale la antena en el interior del vehículo (en el bandeja trasero) Fije la hoja de metal en una superficie lo más plana posible y donde la antena GPS apunte hacia la ventana. Abschnitt Anschluss des Systems 03 Hinweise Deutsch ! Die Ausgabe der Navigations-Landkartenbilder zur Heckanzeige weicht vom NTSC-Standardformat ab. Daher ist die Qualität dieser Bilder schlechter als die der im vorderen Bildschirm angezeigten Bilder. ! Das Navigationssystem wechselt für jedes Video automatisch zwischen den Farbsystemen (NTSC, PAL) und gibt das Video auf der “Heckanzeige” wieder.
Abschnitt 04 Einbau Vor der Installation zu beachten WARNUNG Pioneer rät nachdrücklich davon ab, Ihr Navigationssystem selbst einzubauen oder zu warten, da hierbei die Möglichkeit elektrischer Schläge und anderer Gefahren besteht. Einbau und Wartung des Navigationssystems sind deshalb dem autorisierten Pioneer-Kundendienst-Fachpersonal zu überlassen.
Abschnitt Einbau ! Installieren Sie das Navigationssystem nicht an einer Stelle, wo es die Funktion eines Fahrzeugsystems, Airbags und Kopfstützen eingeschlossen, beeinträchtigen könnte. Zur Vermeidung elektromagnetischen Rauschens Vor dem Einbau ! Wenden Sie sich an Ihren Fachhändler, wenn zum Einbau des Geräts Löcher gebohrt oder andere Veränderungen an Ihrem Auto vorgenommen werden müssen.

Die Hideaway-Einheit waagerecht auf einer Oberfläche mit einer Neigung von max. +30 Grad bis –30 Grad einbauen (mit max. fünf Grad nach rechts oder links von der Fahrtrichtung Ihres Fahrzeugs). Eine Überschreitung dieser Toleranzen erhöht die Fehlerwahrscheinlichkeit in der Ortsanzeige und kann die Anzeigefähigkeit auch in anderen Bereichen vermindern.

Section Installation 04 Pour protéger le système de navigation contre les parasites électromagnétiques Pour éviter toute interférence, placez les éléments suivants le plus loin possible de ce système de navigation, d’autres câbles ou de cordons : ! Installez l’unité déportée horizontalement sur une surface avec une tolérance de +30 degrés à –30 degrés (dans une plage de cinq degrés vers la gauche ou la droite par rapport au sens de déplacement de votre véhicule). Un défaut d’installation de l’unité avec une inclinaison de la surface supérieure à cette marge de tolérance risque d’accroître le potentiel d’erreurs dans l’affichage de l’emplacement, ou risque de réduire les performances d’affichage.

Sezione 03 Collegamento del sistema CAUTELA Assicurarsi di usare un CD-RM10 (venduto separatamente) per il cablaggio. Se si usano altri cavi vi è la possibilità che la posizione di cablaggio possa variare e che le immagini e i suoni risultino disturbati.
Sezione Collegamento del sistema 03 Note ! Le immagini di navigazione della schermata cartina emesse sul display posteriore differiscono dalle immagini di formato NTSC standard. Pertanto, la loro qualità sarà inferiore rispetto alle immagini che appaiono sul display anteriore. ! Il sistema di navigazione passa automaticamente dal sistema a colori (NTSC, PAL) per ciascun video e produce il video sul “Display Posteriore”.
Sezione 04 Installazione Precauzioni prima dell’installazione ! AVVERTENZA Pioneer raccomanda di non installare o riparare personalmente il sistema di navigazione. Sezione Installazione Per proteggere l’unità di navigazione da disturbi elettromagnetici Per impedire eventuali interferenze, posizionare i seguenti apparecchi il più lontano possibile da questo sistema di navigazione, altri cavi o fili: ! antenna TV e filo antenna ! antenna FM, MW/LW e suo filo ! antenna GPS e suo filo Inoltre si deve posare o indirizzare ciascun cavo antenna quanto più possibile lontano da altri cavi antenna. Non fascettarli, posarli, indirizzarli insieme o farli incrociare.
Sezione 04 Installazione ! Installare l’unità a scomparsa orizzontalmente su una superficie con una tolleranza tra +30 gradi e –30 gradi (entro cinque gradi a destra o a sinistra rispetto alla direzione di movimento del vostro veicolo). L’installazione non corretta dell’unità, con la superficie inclinata maggiormente rispetto a queste tolleranze, può aumentare la possibilità di errori nella display della posizione, e potrebbe anche comportare riduzione delle prestazioni di display.

Sezione 04 Installazione ! Accertarsi di installare l’unità a scomparsa sul pavimento con il lato della serigrafia rivolto verso l’alto. Il sistema di navigazione funzionerà correttamente soltanto in questa posizione. Installazione dell’unità a scomparsa 1 Fissare le staffe laterali all’unità a scomparsa. Quando l’unità a scomparsa è installata sul pavimento o la scheda di installazione sotto il sedile del passeggero, ecc., le staffe laterali devono essere fissate all’unità.

Montaggio anteriore o posteriore di standard DIN L’unità display può essere montato senza problemi dalla parte “anteriore” (montaggio DIN anteriore convenzionale) o “posteriore” (installazione DIN a montaggio posteriore, facendo uso dei fori per viti filettate presenti sui due lati dello chassis dell’unità). Sezione 04 Installazione Installazione dell’antenna GPS CAUTELA Non tagliare il cavo dell’antenna GPS per accorciarlo e non usare una prolunga per allungarlo. L’alterazione del cavo dell’antenna può causare cortocircuiti o malfunzionamenti e danni permanenti al sistema di navigazione. Note sull’installazione ! L’antenna deve essere installata su una superficie piana dove le onde radio siano bloccate il meno possibile.
Sezione Installazione 04 Quando si installa l’antenna all’interno del veicolo (sul ripiano posteriore) Applicare la lastra metallica ad una superficie più piana possibile dove l’antenna GPS sia rivolta verso il finestrino. De navigatie-elementen van dit product (en de optionele achteruitkijkcamera, indien deze is aangeschaft) zijn uitsluitend bedoeld als hulpmiddel voor de bedining van uw voertuig. U mag het autonavigatiesysteem niet beschouwen als vervanging van uw eigen beoordelingsvermogen en alertheid tijdens het rijden.

Hoofdstuk Aansluitingen Voorzorgen voor het aansluiten van het systeem WAARSCHUWING Pioneer raadt u af het navigatiesysteem zelf in te bouwen. Wij adviseren u om alleen bevoegd Pioneer onderhoudspersoneel, dat speciaal is opgeleid en ervaring heeft met mobiele elektronica, dit product te laten instellen en inbouwen. Sluit in dit geval *2 op *5 en *4 op *3 aan. *1 *3 *2 *5 *4 • Wanneer een subwoofer (*8) op dit navigatiesysteem is aangesloten in plaats van op een achterluidspreker, zet de uitgangsinstelling voor de achterspreker dan op de oorspronkelijke instelling. Hoofdstuk Aansluitingen 03 De display-module Stroomsnoer Geel/Zwart (MUTE) Wanneer u een apparaat met een mutefunctie gebruikt, dient u deze aan te sluiten op het Audio Mute-snoer. Is dit niet het geval, sluit dan niets aan op het Audio Mute-snoer. Opmerking De audiobron wordt op mute of zacht gezet, terwijl de volgende geluiden van de navigatie niet worden gedempt of verzwakt. Hoofdstuk 03 Aansluitingen BELANGRIJK Zorg dat u verbinding maakt met een CD-RM10 (los verkrijgbaar). Wanneer u andere kabels gebruikt ontstaat de kans op foutieve aansluitingen en verstoord beeld of geluid.
Hoofdstuk Aansluitingen 03 Opmerkingen ! De kaartnavigatiebeelden op het display achter wijken af van de beelden van het standaard NTSC-formaat. Daarom hebben zij een slechtere kwaliteit dan de beelden die op het display voor verschijnen. ! Het navigatiesyteem schakelt automatisch tussen de kleurensystemen (NTSC, PAL) voor elke video en stuurt de videosignalen naar het “Achterdisplay”.
Hoofdstuk 04 Inbouwen Voorzorgen voor installatie WAARSCHUWING Pioneer raadt u af het navigatiesysteem zelf in te bouwen of eventueel onderhoud te verrichten. Bij verkeerd inbouwen of onderhoud van dit product bestaat het gevaar op een elektrische schok of een andere gevaarlijke situatie. Laat inbouwen en onderhoud van het navigatiesysteem over aan bevoegd Pioneer servicepersoneel.
Hoofdstuk Inbouwen 04 Voorkomen van elektromagnetische storingen Om storingen te voorkomen moeten de volgende voorwerpen zo ver mogelijk van dit navigatiesysteem alsmede andere kabels en draden worden geplaatst: ! TV-antenne en antennekabel ! FM, MG/LG-antenne met de kabel ! GPS-antenne met de kabel Daarnaast dient u elke antennedraad zover mogelijk van de andere antennedraden te leggen. Installeer de verborgen eenheid horizontaal op een oppervlak binnen een tolerantie van +30 graden tot –30 graden (maximaal 5 graden naar links of rechts van de rijrichting van uw auto). Wordt het toestel verkeerd geïnstalleerd en valt de helling van het oppervlak buiten deze toleranties, dan bestaat er een grotere kans dat het display gebrekkig functioneert en de kwaliteit van de beelden te wensen overlaat.

Hoofdstuk 04 Inbouwen Inbouwen van de verborgen eenheid 2 Bepaal de installatieplaats en boor de gaten. 1 Verbind de zijbeugels met de verborgen eenheid. Wanneer de verborgen eenheid wordt ingebouwd op de vloer of het installatiepaneel onder de passagiersstoel, etc., dienen de zijbeugels met de eenheid te worden verbonden. Gebruik de volgende gaten in de zijbeugels. Installatiepaneel Markeer de plaatsen waar de gaten moeten worden geboord.
Hoofdstuk Inbouwen 04 DIN voor/achter-montage De display-module kan naar keuze aan de voorkant (conventionele DIN voormontage) of aan de achterkant (DIN achter-montage, met gebruikmaking van de schroefgaten aan de zijkanten van het chassis) bevestigd worden. Raadpleeg voor details hieromtrent de volgende beschrijvingen en afbeeldingen van de installatiemethodes. Tijdens het gebruik van de grote zijbeugels, moet u het frame opnieuw aanhechten.
Hoofdstuk Inbouwen 04 Bevestigen van de GPSantenne BELANGRIJK Maak de GPS antennedraad niet korter en ook niet langer. Wijzigingen aan de antennekabel kunnen leiden tot kortsluiting of storingen en permanente schade aan het navigatiesysteem. Opmerkingen betreffende het bevestigen ! De antenne dient op een zo horizontaal mogelijk oppervlak te worden bevestigd, op een plaats waar de ontvangst van de radiogolven zo min mogelijk wordt gehinderd.
Hoofdstuk 04 Inbouwen Bevestigen van de antenne binnen in de auto (op de hoedenplank) Bevestig het metalen plaatje op een zo horizontaal mogelijke ondergrond op een plaats waar de GPS-antenne de golven door de ruit kan ontvangen. Plaats de GPS-antenne op het metalen plaatje. (De GPS-antenne heeft een magneet aan de onderzijde.) Metalen plaatje Verwijder het beschermvel aan de onderkant van het plaatje.
Hoofdstuk Inbouwen 04 Bevestigen van de antenne aan de buitenzijde van de auto (op de carrosserie) Bevestig de GPS-antenne op een zo horizontaal mogelijke ondergrond zoals op het dak of kofferdeksel. (De GPS-antenne heeft een magneet aan de onderzijde.) Hoofdstuk Na installatie 05 Na het inbouwen van dit navigatiesysteem 1 Sluit de accu aan. Controleer nogmaals of alle aansluitingen op de juiste wijze zijn gemaakt en dit product correct is ingebouwd. Monteer de auto-onderdelen die u bij het inbouwen van het apparaat heeft verwijderd. Sluit tot slot de massakabel (–) weer op de massapool (–) van de accu aan. 2 Start de motor. 3 Druk op de RESET toets. Druk met een spits voorwerp, zoals de punt van een pen, op RESET toets van de module.
