Before start Features This unit is a DJ player that carries over the technology of the Pioneer CDJ series, the world standard in club players. It is a multi player for DJs supporting a variety of sources, enabling full-fledged DJ play easily. MULTI MEDIA, MULTI FORMAT This unit can play not only music CDs (CD-DA), but also music files (MP3, AAC, WAV and AIFF) recorded on mass storage class USB devices (flash memory devices and hard discs) and CD-R/-RW discs.

About USB devices Cautions on using USB devices This unit supports USB mass storage class USB devices (external hard disks, portable flash memory devices, digital audio players, etc.). If the CD-ROM menu does not appear when the CD-ROM is inserted, open the CD drive from [Computer (or My Computer)] in the [Start] menu, then double-click the [CD_menu.exe] icon. 2 When the CD-ROM’s menu is displayed, select [rekordbox: Install Music Management Software], then click [Start].

Turns off from the left side when the remaining time is displayed. The entire graph flashes slowly when the remaining track time is under 30 seconds, then flashes quickly when the remaining track time is under 15 seconds. This displays the track number. It is not possible to display more than 100 tracks.
Connections Be sure to turn off the power and unplug the power cord from the power outlet whenever making or changing connections. Refer to the operating instructions for the component to be connected. Connect the power cord after all the connections between devices have been completed. Be sure to use the included power cord.

If you attempt to add more than 1 000 tracks, a warning message is displayed and the tracks cannot be added. ! When [TAG TRACK/REMOVE] is pressed while the information is displayed after pressing [INFO], the tracks loaded in this unit are added to the tag list.

The cue point can be fine-adjusted in units of single frames. ! The same operation is possible using the jog dial. 3 Press [CUE] 2. Returning to Cue Point (Back Cue) During playback, press [CUE] 2. The set immediately returns to the currently set cue point and pauses. ! When [PLAY/PAUSEf] is pressed, playback starts from the cue point.

The fast-forward/fast-reverse speed can be adjusted according to the speed at which the jog dial is spun. To use this unit as an audio device, install the driver software on the computer beforehand (page 11). This unit must also be selected in the DJ software’s audio output device settings. Additional information Troubleshooting ! Incorrect operation is often mistaken for trouble or malfunction. If you think that there is something wrong with this component, check the points below. Sometimes the trouble may lie in another component. Inspect the other components and electrical appliances being used. If the trouble cannot be rectified after checking the items below, ask your nearest Pioneer authorized service center or your dealer to carry out repair work.
Problem Check Remedy Library browsing is not possible. Is a medium on which library information is recorded loaded? The library browse mode is only set when media on which library information is recorded are loaded. When a medium on which no library information is recorded is loaded, the folder browse mode is set. Is the USB device write-protected? Set the USB device so that files can be written on it. Set the USB device’s write-protect switch to the off position.
