The six strongest broadcast frequencies will be stored under preset channel keys in order of their signal strength. # To cancel the storage process, touch Cancel. Tuning in to strong signals Local seek tuning allows you to tune in to only those radio stations with sufficiently strong signals for good reception. Section SiriusXM tuner 07 Introducing SiriusXM tuner operations You can use this unit to control SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner, which is sold separately. For more information on how to install SiriusXM Connect Vehicle Tuner, consult the installation guide included with the tuner. Everything worth listening to is on SiriusXM, getting over 130 channels, including the most commercial‐free music, plus the best sports, news, talk and entertainment. A SiriusXM Vehicle Tuner and Subscription are required.

Section iPod 09 Using this unit’s iPod function from your iPod You can listen to sound from applications on your iPod using the car’s speakers when App Mode is selected. This function is not compatible with the following iPod models. ! iPod nano 1st generation ! iPod with video Note While this function is in use, the iPod will not turn off even if the ignition key is turned off. Operate the iPod to turn off the power. 1 Switch the control mode to App Mode.

Section HAppRadio Mode 10 AppRadio Mode operation This system can switch to the AppRadio Mode, which you can display and operate the application for iPhone or Android device on the screen. In AppRadio Mode, you can operate applications with finger gestures such as tapping, dragging, scrolling or flicking on the screen of the system. WARNING Certain uses of a smartphone may not be legal while driving in your jurisdiction, so you must be aware of and obey any such restrictions.

Depending on the Bluetooth audio player connected to this unit, the available operations will be limited to the following two levels: — A2DP profile (Advanced Audio Distribution Profile): You can only playback songs on your audio player. — AVRCP profile (Audio/Video Remote Control Profile): You can perform playback, pause playback, select songs, etc.
Section Using MIXTRAX Using MIXTRAX MIXTRAX operation You can enjoy your music files by installing the MIXTRAX software to your computer and using the software to transfer the files to USB devices and SD cards. Section Using Pandoraâ internet radio 14 Pandora operations To play Pandora on the Pioneer car audio/video products, connect an iPod, iPhone or Androidä device with the most recent Pandora application installed, and start the Pandora application. Important Requirements to access Pandora using the Pioneer car audio/video products: Connect an iPod to USB input 1 or an Android device to HDMI input and using Bluetooth to play Pandora on this unit.

In such cases, you may be asked to specify the firmware version. Perform the following procedure to check the version on this unit. 1 Press the home button to switch to the home display. The PIN code is set to 0000 as default. The product name for this unit will display on your phone as the device name. Wrap adhesive tape around wiring that comes into contact with metal parts to protect the wiring. — Place all cables away from moving parts, such as the shift lever and seat rails. — Place all cables away from hot places, such as near the heater outlet. — Do not connect the yellow cable to the battery by passing it through the hole to the engine compartment.

Section Connection 24 When connecting with a rear view camera If you switch the shift lever to REVERSE (R), the display on this unit will automatically switch to the rear view image. You need to set the Camera Polarity properly in the system unit to use. For details on settings, refer to Setting the rear view camera (back up camera) on page 42.
