UNDERSTANDING 
THE BBSS OPERATION
The BBSS is able to switch itself off in the event that a 
blockage or contamination prevents it from functioning 
correctly. In this instance, the BBSS will switch itself back on 
once the blockage is cleared and the correct operation can 
be resumed.
The BBSS icon on the main screen is used to indicate the 
eight possible states of the BBSS as follows:
The Ego7 can be red at the maximum rate of 
re determined by the chosen ring mode.
The sensor has been re-enabled. A ball is 
detected and the Ego7 can be red at the 
maximum rate of re determined by the chosen 
ring mode.
The Ego7 cannot be red.
The sensor is enabled. No ball is detected so 
the Ego7 cannot be red. To reset the BBSS 
icon, use the    button to switch off the BBSS 
and then back on again.
The Ego7 can be red at a maximum rate of 
re as set by the OFF ROF
parameter

The BBSS has been over-ridden as the user 
has selected training mode. As the user has 
chosen to leave the BBSS on, the achievable 
rate of re is limited by the MAX ROF 
parameter.
The system is disabled. The Ego7 can only 
be red at a maximum rate of re of 10bps, 
regardless of the chosen ring mode.
The BBSS has been over-ridden as the user 
has selected training mode. As the user has 
chosen to turn the BBSS off, the achievable 
rate of re is limited by the OFF ROF 
parameter.
