Ego Maniac Board – Addendum Sheet
If you have found this sheet in your Ego box it means that the marker you have purchased has been supplied with the new
Limited Edition Ego Maniac circuit board, which incorporates different features to the stock Ego 6 board, and as such this
means some amendments to the current Ego 6 manual which are outlined below:
The following page no longer applies to the operation of your marker:
- Page 39: Reset option has been removed from the set-up menu.
The following pages require the following amendments:
- Page 18: The “Back” option has been removed from the main menu, and replaced by an “Exit” option which can
be used to return to the main screen.
- Page 27: The Set-up Menu has been replaced by a new Ego Maniac Set-up Smart Menu, which adapts to the menu
choices that you make. The basic Maniac set-up Smart Menu is outlined below:
- Page 28: The Mode Menu now just has three options: SEMIAUTO (Semi Automatic mode), RAMPING (Ramp

page 27 comments). LIGHT refers to the amount of time that the backlight stays on (adjustable from 0.5 to 20
secs). SLEEP controls the auto-power off time (adjustable from 10 to 60 mins).
- Page 30: ROF CAP can now be switched “On” or “Off”. If it is “On” the ROF can be capped from 4.0 – 25.0bps.

New features:
- The main screen displays the currently selected PRESET parameter set. If any of the parameters in the set are
changed then the screen will show CUSTOM.
- When “Ramping” has been chosen from the Mode Menu, a new option appears in the Smart menu called “RMP
SET” (Ramp Set-up). This option contains all of the parameters that define how you want to set up your ramp
mode:
ON PULL defines on which pull the ramping will start from, providing that the required KICK IN pull rate has been
sustained. ON PULL is adjustable from trigger pull number 4 to trigger pull number 9.
KICK IN is the minimum number of pulls per second that have to be performed to initiate the ramp mode. It is
adjustable from 5 – 15 pps (pulls per second).
SUSTAIN is the minimum number of pulls per second that have to be performed to sustain the ramp mode. It is
adjustable from 5 - 15 pps.
RESTART is the amount of time in which the ramp will restart if you pull the trigger again after the ramp has
stopped. It is adjustable from 0.0 to 1.0 seconds.
- Training mode can now be activated as a feature of any firing mode. This can be achieved by using the TRAININ
parameter from the Set up menu.
- The name of the option to leave the Set-Up Menu and the Main Menu has been changed from “BACK” to
“EXIT”.
