2. Requirements
PLANET GEPON OLT provides a GUI utility and Web page to manage the system.
YoucanalsousetheconsolecablewithterminalemulatortomanagetheOLT.
Thefollowingequipmentisnecessaryforfurthermanagement:
SubscriberPCisinstalledwithEthernetNIC(NetworkCard)
EMSSoftware(WindowsPlatform)
Management Port connection
z Networkcables--Usestandardnetwork(UTP)cableswithRJ45connectors
TheabovePCisinstalledwithWebbrowser.
Serial Port Connection (Terminal)
z The above Workstations come with COM Port (DB9) or USB-to-RS232
converter.
z The above Workstations have been installed with terminal emulator, such as
HyperTerminalincludedinWindowsXP/2003.
z Serial cable -- one end is attached to the RS232 serial port, while the other
endtotheconsoleportoftheOLT.
Note
It is recommendedto use Internet Explorer 8.0or above to access
the OLT. If the Web interface of the OLT is not accessible, please
turnofftheanti-virussoftwareorfirewallandthentryitagain.
