4.4 Serial Settings
This function provides serial port COM settings and displays the serial port COM information.
4.4.1 COM Settings
This function allows setting the value for serial port COM configuration. Press the “Submit” button to set the value and the
screen in Figure 4-4 appears.

The page includes the following configurable data:
Port Setting
• Port
Display the COM1 information.
Settings
• Alias
Manually input the description of serial port; the available range is 30 characters.
• Baud Rate
It is a parameter to check the communication speed. It shows to transfer how many bits
in 1 second. The available options are shown below:
300/600/1200/2400/4800/9600/19200/38400/57600/115200.
• Data Bits
It is a parameter to check the actual data bits in communication; when PC sends a
Packet, actual data is not 8 bits; the standards are 7 bits and 8 bits.
• Stop Bits
The last bit of the single packet -- the typical values are 1 bits and 2 bits.
