1. When shorter-distance single mode fiber cables are used, you might need to insert an
in-line optical attenuator in the link to avoid overloading the receiver. Follow the I-TUT
G652 document to imitate the fiber cable length.
2. The attenuation coefficient mentioned in the following chapters is for reference only.
