pdp run
Enables the PDP on the switch.
e) Enabling PDP on the port of the switch
PDP is not enabled in the default configuration. You can run the following command in interface
configuration mode to enable PDP on the port after PDP is enabled on the switch.
Command Purpose
pdp enable
Enables PDP on the port of the switch.
f) Monitoring and managing PDP
Run the following commands in management mode to monitor PDP:
Command Purpose
show pdp traffic
Displays the number of PDP messages that the
switch receives and sends.
show pdp neighbor [detail]
Displays neighboring devices that the switch
detects through PDP.
