Section VI – ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Steps to be Taken in Case Material is Released or Spilled:
Contain spills immediately. Dike and contain spill with inert material (e.g. sand, earth). Transfer liquids and diking
material to suitable containers for recovery or disposal.
Caution:
Keep spills and cleaning runoff out of municipal sewers and open bodies of water. Continue to observe
precautions for volatile, combustible vapors from absorbed material.
Waste Disposal Method:
Dispose of in accordance with local, state and federal regulations.
Section VII – HANDLING AND STORAGE INFORMATION
Storage Conditions:
Keep from freezing.
Handling:
Avoid breathing of vapors. Handle in well-ventilated workspace. When handling, do not eat, drink, or smoke. Avoid
contact with skin.
Section VIII – PERSONAL PROTECTION/EXPOSURE CONTROL
Engineering Controls (Ventilation):
Provide sufficient mechanical (general) and/or local exhaust ventilation to maintain exposure below TLV.
Respiratory Protection:
Not required under normal conditions in a well-ventilated workplace. Use OSHA approved chemical/mechanical
filters designed to remove particulates in open and restricted ventilation areas.
