PocketWizard products. It is not frequency compatible with CE or
JAPAN PocketWizard products. Verify frequency compatibility before
purchasing. Some products are not manufactured on every frequency.
Always operate within local radio regulations.
TIME CONVERSION CHARTS
Rear Curtain Sync: /MENU A A C (see Fig. 2)
Provides rear curtain sync effect to cameras without this feature, or to cameras
with feature but not compatible with rear curtain + radio (problem = no flash
sync or black bands appear when using radio). Use ▲▼ to match MultiMAX
shutter speed setting with camera shutter speed. Use /MENU A A A for
fine adjustments or for shutter speeds other than provided.
SpeedCycler: /MENU A D
Helps reduce flash recycle time limitations by cycling through multiple remote
flash units, each on a separate Zone. Select multiple Zones on MultiMAX (set
for TRANSMIT). On main screen, arrow indicates next zone to trigger.
Receive Delay Menu: /MENU A A
PORT 1 + PORT 2: /MENU A A A
(see Fig. 1)
Delays trigger to both PORTs. On main screen, small D below
indicates
PORT 2 will be delayed. Use for controlling flash trigger timing in long
exposures, and other effects. Set different delays on multiple MultiMAX units
(set for RECEIVE) for repeatable flash sequences.
PORT 2 Only: /MENU A A B (see Fig. 1)
Delays triggering to PORT 2 only. PORT 1 triggers immediately. Use for
double exposure or other special effects.
Equalize: /MENU A A C
Helps synchronize multiple cameras (1/125 shutter speed) to single flash and
enables lag time measurement of camera. Connect camera PC sync cable to
PORT 1 or slide MultiMAX (set for RECEIVE) onto camera shoe. Connect
camera remote cable to PORT 2. Press TEST several times to measure
camera lag. Press /MENU to accept when number displayed seems
consistent. Perform same operation on other cameras. Connect separate
MultiMAX (set for RECEIVE) to flash and on that unit press /MENU A A C,
/MENU (accept displayed 0.1500 setting). Trigger with separate MultiMAX
(set for TRANSMIT). See MultiMAX manual for more information.
Fast Mode: /MENU A D
Enables faster flash sync shutter speeds with compatible flash units and
cameras, up to 1/1000 second. Main screen displays FAST MODE. Quad
Triggering and Confirmation are not available in Fast Mode.
Transmit & Receive Advanced Menu
Intervalometer:
/MENU A B
Repeatedly triggers camera at set interval for set number of triggers. Use for
time-lapse photography applications or other effects. Set interval (amount of
time between triggers) in Hours:Minutes:Seconds. Set number of triggers/
counter. Connect camera remote cable to PORT 2. Press TEST to start
cycle. Intervalometer is not transmitted in TRANSMIT mode – only locally
attached cameras are triggered.
MultiPop: /MENU A C
Repeatedly triggers flash unit at set interval for set number of triggers. Use
for increasing depth of field with multiple flash triggers set at safe intervals
for flash recycling, or other time-lapse effects. Set interval (amount of time
between triggers) in Seconds. Set number of triggers/counter. Connect flash
sync cable to PORT 2. Press TEST to start cycle. MultiPop is not
transmitted in TRANSMIT mode – only locally attached flash units are
triggered. For remote flash MultiPop, set MultiPop on each individual flash
unit’s MultiMAX (set for RECEIVE).
