2. USING FT1 HEALTHCHECK 4 ENGLISH 1. Wet the horse's hair abundantly as indicated (1). Alternatively, you can use electrode gel. 2. Place the transmitter againts the hair of the horse (2). Keep the FT1 training computer within 1 meter / 3 feet from the transmitter. 3. Press the button to start. Your horse's heart rate appears in 5 seconds. 4. Press the button to stop.
3. TROUBLESHOOTING Abnormal Heart Rate Readings • • • • Make sure that the transmitter is firmly against the horse. Make sure that the horse’s hair under the transmitter is thoroughly moistened. Accumulated sweat and dirt may interfere with the measurement of the signal from the heart to the transmitter. Check if the transmitter needs cleaning. If the heart rate measurement still does not work, the battery of your transmitter or training computer may be empty.
4. IMPORTANT INFORMATION Care and Maintenance Follow the caring instructions to ensure reliable measurement and to maximize the life span of the transmitter and training computer. The following instructions will help you fulfill the guarantee obligations. Keep the transmitter and training computer in a cool and dry place. Do not store in a damp environment, in non-breathable material (a plastic bag or a sports bag) or with conductive material (a wet towel).
