Use and Care Manual

Cleaning Instructions
Vessel sinks are available in porcelain, glass, stone, bronze, copper, bamboo, and stainless steel. Although this is quite
a varied assortment of materials, for general maintenance all can be regularly cleaned with a mild detergent, warm water
and a soft cloth. Wiping down and drying any sink after each use is the best protection against hard water creating blem-
ishes which may become difcult to eliminate. For a thorough cleaning after extended use, or to remove stubborn stains,
each material requires its own deep cleaning solutions.

SANITIZATION
Glass sinks should be cleaned on a regular basis in
order to avoid any mineral or bacteria buildup. Spots
or ngerprints can be wiped away with a standard
glass cleaner, or a mixture of vinegar and water, and
a soft cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads
which may scratch the glass. Be careful when clean-
ing the exterior of a glass sink as it might have a foil
or printed application which could be damaged by
scrubbing.
WATER TEMPERATURE
Extremely hot water could cause a glass sink to crack
or shatter. As a general rule, if the water is too hot to
the touch, then it is too hot to be in a glass sink.
HARD WATER
Wiping the sink dry after each use is important in or-
der to avoid spots, especially if you have hard water.
Long-standing hard water spots on glass can create
mineral stains which cannot be removed.
DAMAGE
Do not store heavy or sharp objects above glass sinks.
If they fall, they can scratch or shatter the sink. A
chipped or cracked glass sink cannot be repaired.
FROSTED GLASS
Frosted glass exteriors can be cleaned with standard
ammonia-based glass cleaners. Using paper towels,
newspaper or an abrasive sponge, wipe the frosted
glass sink in a circular motion. Frosted glass is much
tougher than “normal” glass due to the process it under-
went to achieve its appearance, so it can be scrubbed
vigorously.
