The General Care and Cleaning of Any Kitchen Sink
Kitchen sinks are available in stainless steel, TruGranite, and copper. For general maintenance all can be regularly
cleaned with a mild detergent, warm water and a soft cloth. Wiping down and drying any sink after each use is the best
protection against hard water creating blemishes which may become difcult to eliminate. For a thorough cleaning after
extended use, or to remove stubborn stains, each material requires its own deep cleaning solutions.

SANITIZATION
Make sure to clean a TruGranite sink regularly,
especially after putting foods or other wastes in the
sink. Rinse the sink with warm water and use a nylon
brush to gently scrub with dishwashing liquid. Dry
thoroughly with a clean, soft cloth to prevent water
from standing on the surface.
HARD WATER
Wipe the sink dry after each use to avoid spots,
especially if you have hard water. Water spots caused
by hard water can create mineral stains that cannot
be removed.
TruGranite
AVOID HARSH CHEMICALS
Keep citrus cleaners and ammonia away from the
sink when cleaning. These can damage the surface
texture and cause more harm than good. If you
should spill these types of ingredients on your sink,
rinse thoroughly and remove as much as possible.
DISCOLORATION
For discoloration due to rusty water or oily sub-
stances left in the sink, using a wet MR. Clean Magic
Eraser
®
, Microber Magic Sponge
®
or an equivalent
product to vigorously scrub the sink bowl will elimi-
nate unwanted blemishes. A bleach solution is also
helpful for removing discolored spots. For this solu-
tion, ll the sink with approximately 2 inches of warm
water and add 3-4 splashes of bleach. Leave the
solution in the sink for 15 minutes and ush and rinse
with pure tap water. Always use rubber gloves when
working with bleach and chlorine products. Scrub-
bing can strip off the natural patina.
