Operation
Do not set up or operate the product under water.
Make sure that the cables hang loosely and are not
stretched too tightly. Failure to heed this warning may
cause the cables to tear.
Do not connect the product to the power supply while
it is still in the packaging. Lay the product out entirely
before connecting it to the power supply.
Do not hang any objects from the product and do not
cover the product.
The LEDs are non-dimmable and non-replaceable.
Observe the following assembly instruction:
1. Remove the product from the packaging.
2. Place the product on a dry, horizontal surface, e.g. a table,
window ledge, etc.
3. Unscrew the wing screw from the tree.
4. Insert the tree crown into the stand.
Tighten the screw on the stand.
5. Connect the plug on the power supply to the socket on the
transformer. The plug can only be inserted in one orientation.
6. Secure the connection by turning the screw cap on the plug
onto the thread on the transformer.
7. Connect the transformer to a mains socket.
8. Press the button on the transformer or the ON-button (4) on
the remote control to switch the product on.
Ensure that the remote control is pointing at the transformer,
as the IR-receiver is located on the transformer.
9. Press the button on the transformer or the MODE
button (2) on the remote control to select one of the 9
lighting eects.
10. The product features a timer. Activate the timer function by
pressing the TIMER button (3) on the remote control. You
can also turn on the timer by pressing the button on the
transformer for approximately 5 seconds. Once the timer has
been activated, the red idnicator on the transformer will turn
on. The product will stay on for 8 hours and then switch o
automatically. It will turn on again after 16 hours.
Example: You turn on the product at 3pm. The product will
stay on from 3pm to 11pm and then switch o automatically.
It will turn itself on again at 3pm on the following day.
This interval will be repeated provided that the product is
switched on and the timer is activated.
11. To turn o the timer, press the TIMER button (3). The red
indicator will turn o.
12. To switch o the product, press the OFF button (1) on the
remote control, or press the button on the transformer for
approximately 3 seconds. If the timer is switched on, the red
indicator will turn o.
13. If you are not going to use the product for a prolonged
period, switch it o and disconnect the transformer from the
mains socket.
Maintenance and cleaning
• The product is maintenance-free apart from occasional
cleaning.
• Disconnect the transformer from the power supply before
cleaning and allow the LEDs to cool down suciently.
• To clean, use a clean, dry, lint-free cloth. For stubborn dirt,
slightly dampen the cloth with water.
• Allow the product to dry completely before continued use.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not
be disposed of in the household waste. At the end of its
service life, dispose of the product according to the
relevant statutory regulations.
Remove any inserted batteries and dispose of them
separately from the product.
b) Batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery
Ordinance) to return all used batteries. Disposing of
them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated batteries are labelled with this symbol to indicate
that disposal in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations
for the heavy metals involved are: Cd = Cadmium, Hg = Mercury,
Pb = Lead (name on batteries, e.g. below the trash icon on the
left).
Used batteries can be returned to collection points in your
municipality, our stores or wherever batteries are sold.
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the
protection of the environment.
