Never charge the rechargeable battery of the product unattended.
When charging, place the product on a surface that is not heat-sensitive.
It is normal that a certain amount of heat is generated during charging.
Charge the battery via a USB power supply before rst use, when the LED indicator (3) lights up red or
ashes when switching on or if the product does not turn on when you press the on/off button (3).

• Step 1: Open the protective covering (6).
• Step 2, 3: Connect the Micro-USB port IN (7) to a suitable USB power supply using the included
Micro-USB cable.
• Charging may take up to approx. 6 hours when the rechargeable battery is fully discharged. The LED
indicator ashes red during charging. The LED indicator lights up red permanently when charging is
complete.
• Disconnect the Micro-USB cable.
• After charging, rmly close the protective covering (6) to guarantee the product is dust- and waterproof.
Using the camping lantern
• Press and hold the on/off button (3) to switch the lantern to lighting mode 1. The LED indicator lights up
briey to show the battery charge state:
Green: Full battery capacity
Red: Low battery capacity
Flashing red: Very low battery capacity, recharge battery immediately.
• Repeatedly and quickly press the on/off switch (within 3 seconds) to switch between the product’s modes:
lighting mode 1 (neutral white) > lighting mode 2 (cold white) > lighting mode 3 (warm white) > ickering
mode
• Press and hold the on/off button in lighting mode 1, 2 or 3 to dim. The brightness increases. Release the
on/off button when the desired brightness is reached.
The light ashes briey when the highest brightness level is reached. Then the lantern returns
to the lowest brightness level.
The light cannot be dimmed in icker mode.
• To turn off the lantern, press the on/off button
. The light goes out.

• Step 1: Open the protective covering (6).
• Step 2, 3: Connect the USB device, e.g. to your mobile telephone, via the mobile device’s USB charging
cable to the camping lantern’s USB-A port OUT (8).
• The LED indicator (3) lights up briey to show the battery charge state (also see “Using the camping
lantern“).
• The connected USB device begins charging.
• If you wish to end charging your USB device (prematurely), disconnect the USB charging cable from the
camping lantern.
• After charging, rmly close the protective covering (6) to guarantee the product is dust- and waterproof.
Removing/inserting the rechargeable battery
If you are on the go and the battery is empty, you may use the camping lantern with batteries or replace the
rechargeable battery with batteries of the correct type (see “Technical data”) if the light is visibly dim after
being in operation only briey.
• Turn the battery compartment lid (4) counter clockwise and remove it.
• Remove the empty/used/defective rechargeable battery from the battery compartment (2).
• Insert three new 1.5 V batteries, type mono (D), LR20 (not included), into the battery compartment,
observing correct polarity (positive/+ and negative/-).
• Make sure the sealing ring on the battery compartment lid is secure.
• Place the recesses in the battery compartment lid onto the respective noses in the battery compartment.
• Fasten the battery compartment lid by turning clockwise.
Make sure the sealing ring is clean and undamaged and close the battery compartment lid fully
to ensure splash- and dustproof protection.
Cleaning and care
• Never submerge the product in water.
• Disconnect the product from the USB connection before each cleaning. Remove the (rechargeable)
batteries before cleaning.
• Under no circumstances use aggressive cleanings agents, cleaning alcohol or other chemical solutions
since these can penetrate the housing or impair functionality.
• Use a dry, soft cloth for cleaning the product.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with applicable regulatory
guidelines.
Remove any inserted (rechargeable) batteries and dispose of them separately from the product.
b) (Rechargeable) batteries
You as the end user are required by law (Battery Ordinance) to return all used (rechargeable)
batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is prohibited.
Contaminated (rechargeable) batteries are labeled with this symbol to indicate that disposal
in the domestic waste is forbidden. The designations for the heavy metals involved are: Cd =
Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (name on (rechargeable) batteries, e.g. below the trash icon
on the left).
Used (rechargeable) batteries can be returned to collection points in your municipality, our stores or wherever
(rechargeable) batteries are sold.
You thus fulll your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
