Mounting and connection
a) Attaching the control unit
Before assembly, please note that the IR receiver (9) of the control unit must be placed to ensure
perfect reception of control signals from the IR remote control (direct line of sight between the
IR transmitter (10) and the IR receiver).
Install the control unit (7) where it is shielded against bright lights or direct sunlight. Otherwise
the IR transmitter will be outshone. If the ambient light is too bright, operation of the control unit
is not possible or the range will be greatly reduced.
Depending on the mounting site, it is helpful to protect the control unit on the top and on the
sides from a too high ambient brightness using a cover, so that the IR receiver can function
properly.
Before you proceed to the permanent mounting of the control unit and the IR receiver, check that
they function properly.
• The control unit (7) can be mounted via two xing lugs (8). Depending on mounting site, you can also use
cable ties or the provided double-sided adhesive pad (14).
When you screw the control unit into place, make sure that no cables or pipes are damaged
when drilling and tightening the screws.
• Mount the IR receiver (9) of the control unit to a suitable place, e.g. by using a strip of adhesive tape or
a cable tie.
b) Mounting the LED Strip
The LED strip (2) can be mounted on suitable surfaces, such as furniture or similar objects, using the
adhesive tape located on the underside.
The LED strip must be mounted in such a way that it is not exposed to mechanical stress. Do not
mount it in such a way that it gets damaged by a person stepping on it.
Do not bend the LED strip.
• Fully unroll the LED strip.
• Carefully clean the surface on which you wish to mount the LED strip from dust, dirt and grease before
mounting; otherwise the adhesive tape will come off the surface.
• Then slightly remove the protective strip and adhere the LED strip to the mounting surface.
- However, do not use force when pressing down.
- Important! Please note that the tape may leave a permanent mark on the mounting surface permanent.
c) Connecting the LED strip to the control unit
• Connect the four-pin connector (3)
with the four-pin socket (4) on the
control unit.
Make sure that the
labels on the
connections match (the arrow symbol on the socket (4) must point to the “+12V” marking on
the LED strip).
• The plug connection can be protected from unintentional disconnection by using a strip of adhesive tape.
d) Connecting the power supply
• Connect the low-voltage round plug (5) with the circular socket (6).
• Connect the power supply (1) a proper mains socket of the public supply network.
IR touch remote control
The battery is already inserted on delivery. Remove the protective plastic tab in the battery compartment on
the back of the remote control. The remote control is now ready for use.
a) Remote control functions
Point the IR transmitter (10) at the IR receiver (9) when pressing the corresponding button or touch panel.
ON button Turns on LED strip
OFF button Turns off LED strip
Touch dimming wheel “
” Stepless adjustment of light colour brightness:
Blue panel: cold-white light colour
Yellow panel: warm-white light
BRI+ button Increase brightness
BRI- button Decrease brightness
CW button Select light colour “cold-white”
WW button Select light colour “warm-white”
Turn on the LED strip with the ON button before you select the colour or dim the LEDs.
b) Inserting/changing the remote control battery
Replace the battery if the range of the remote control drops or the control unit no longer reacts to
the remote control.
• Unlock the lock clip on the battery compartment (12) e.g. with a at screwdriver.
• Pull out the battery holder with the battery.
• Replace the empty button cell battery with a new 3 V button cell CR2025. Please pay attention to the
correct polarity (observe plus/+ and minus/-) when inserting the battery. The positive pole is marked with
the “+” symbol and needs to point towards the bottom of the IR remote control.
• Insert the battery holder back into the remote control back until it clicks into place. Pay attention to the
correct orientation and do not use any force!
Care and cleaning
• Always disconnect the product from the power supply before cleaning it. Disconnect the wall plug
transformer from the mains socket.
• Do not use abrasive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these may damage the
casing or stop the product from functioning properly.
• The outside of the housing should only be cleaned with a clean, soft, dry cloth.

Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be placed in household waste. Always
dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
Remove any batteries in the remote control and dispose of them separately.
b) Batteries
You are required by law to return all used batteries. They must not be placed in household waste.
Batteries that contain hazardous substances are labelled with this symbol to indicate that
disposal in domestic waste is forbidden. The abbreviations for heavy metals in batteries are: Cd
= Cadmium, Hg = Mercury, Pb = Lead (indicated on the battery, e.g. below the waste icon on the
left).
Used batteries can be returned to local collection points, our stores or battery retailers.
You thus full your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
