English The Polaroid FUN 620 Creative Kit Your Polaroid FUN 620 Digital Camera Creative Kit contains everything necessary to take digital photos, save them to your computer, and manipulate them. Caution:Before connecting the camera to your computer, install the PhotoImpression 2 software included with the camera (page 8), and restart your computer.

English Turning the Camera On and Off 1 Turn the camera on (a). You hear a click, the LCD (e) turns on, and the green power/status indicator (b) is lit. If the green power/status indicator is not lit, check that the batteries are properly loaded and fully charged. 2 b c a d e To turn the camera off, press and hold the power button (a) until the green power/status indicator (b) turns off. Note: To conserve battery power, the camera beeps and shuts off after 90 seconds of inactivity.
English Inserting Batteries Your kit includes four AAA batteries. 1 2 Turn the camera off. 3 Insert the batteries. Ensure that the battery terminals (+ and -) are properly positioned (as shown). 4 Close the battery door securely. Slide it out to the side as far as it will go, press it against the camera base, and slide it back into the base to lock it closed. If you feel resistance, do not force the door closed.
English Taking Photos 1 Turn the camera on (a). The green power/status indicator (b) is lit. 2 Stand at least 1 m (3 feet) from your subject. Note: For best results, take photos outdoors or indoors in a brightly lit room. 3 b c a d e Point the camera toward your subject. If you see the low-light warning message (LL) on the LCD (e), add light or move to a brighter location.
English Note: When the 1 MB camera memory is full (about 15 photos), the LCD shows the memory-full message (FL) and the camera issues three quick warning beeps. If you press the shutter button, the camera beeps three times, but does not take a photo. Note: When the memory is full, transfer photos to your computer (page 9) and erase them from the camera’s memory (page 7 and page 13). Using the Self-timer Use a tripod or place the camera on a flat surface when using the self-timer.
English Erasing photos From the Camera 1 You hear a beep when the photo is erased, and the photo count on the LCD (b) decreases by one. 2 a Press and hold the photo erase button (a) for 3 seconds. The last photo taken is erased. b Repeat to erase additional photos. Note: You can also erase photos using the Polaroid PhotoImpression 2 Software (page 13). English Installing PhotoImpression 2 Software 1 2 3 Turn your computer on. Check that the computer meets these requirements: 200 MHz Pentium processor or equivalent • Compatible with Microsoft Windows 95, 98, Me, or 2000 • 32 MB RAM and 195 MB available hard disk space • Available USB port (Windows 98, Me, or 2000) or RS-232 Serial port • High-color display with 800 x 600 DPI resolution or higher • 2x or faster CD-ROM drive • Mouse • Insert the software CD in your PC.
English Transferring Photos to Your Computer 1 2 Turn the camera off. Turn your computer and peripherals off (Serial transfers only). Do not turn your computer off when using the computer’s USB port. 3 Locate the connector cable. It includes plugs to connect to the camera and to your computer’s Serial or USB port (as shown). Serial USB Camera Note: USB transfer rates are faster than Serial. 4 Connect the Serial plug (a) or the USB plug (b) to your computer.
English 6 7 Turn the computer on (Serial transfers only). Open the PhotoImpression 2 software by double-clicking the PhotoImpression 2 icon on your Desktop. The Get Photo button is selected.
English 8 9 Click Camera/Scanner. Select Polaroid FUN 620 in the Select Source list. 10 Choose a location on your computer for storing your photos. Acquire button Acquire Options button Select Album list There are two ways to choose a location: • • Select Source list Camera/Scanner button The fastest way to save, display, and manipulate your photos is to select an album in the Select Album list. To create a new album, select [New] and use the album NewAlbum1 or type a different album name.
English A TWAIN Options window opens, which lets you select the file format, the folder where photos are stored, and file names for photos. Click OK when finished. 11 Turn the camera on. 12 Click the Acquire button. The TWAIN software opens. TWAIN software is used to transfer and delete photos from your camera. Note: If you see a failed connection message or warning window, turn the camera off and on again, check the connections between the camera and computer, and click Acquire.
English 14 Select photos to transfer to your computer: To select a single photo, click on the photo thumbnail. A red border appears around the photo. To select more that one photo, press Control (Ctrl) on your • keyboard while you click on each thumbnail photo. Red borders appear around selected thumbnails. To select all photos, click Select All. Red borders appear around all • thumbnails in the camera. 15 Click Get Photos.

This provides an index and step-by-step procedures for using your PhotoImpression 2 software to manipulate and enhance your photos. • You can also get help with any button or feature in the software by moving your mouse cursor over it and clicking the right mouse button. This brings up context-sensitive help that explains the software button or feature.

To avoid electrical shock, do not expose the camera to, or immerse it in, any fluids. Do not disassemble or operate the camera if dropped or damaged.
