Thank you for purchasing this digital camcorder. Everything you need to take quality digital videos and photos is included with your camera. Polaroid makes capturing those special moments as easy as possible. Please read this manual carefully first in order to get the most out of your digital camcorder. Note: Your camcorder requires a Micro SD Memory card (up to 32GB) for normal use. Micro SD Memory cards are not included and need to be purchased separately.

Insert 2 x AA (1.5V) batteries. Alkaline batteries recommended (not included). Micro SD Memory Card (up to 32GB) needed for normal use.
1) Batteries Make sure the batteries have been inserted properly into your digital camera, according to the polarity shown inside the battery compartment. Use 2x AA (1.5V) batteries. Alkaline batteries are recommended. (Batteries not included.) Open the battery compartment door. Install the batteries into the battery compartment as illustrated above. Close the battery compartment door. Note: Remove the batteries from the camera when not in use for an extended period.
To properly insert the Micro SD Memory Card: 1. Turn OFF the Camera. 2. Open the battery compartment door by pressing the lock button down and simultaneously sliding the battery door in the direction of the arrow on the door. 3. Insert the Micro SD Card into the Micro SD Card slot in the direction as shown on the camera (see SD icon by the Micro SD card slot). Gently press the Micro SD Card until you hear a slight clicking sound. This indicates the memory card has been inserted correctly.
To exit the menu without formatting the SD Memory Card select ‘No’ then press the OK/SHUTTER button. Alternatively, you can press the MENU button to exit. Note: During formatting of the Micro SD card, all data (pictures & videos - if present) will be erased. Make sure you save your valuable data before formatting the memory. Remember, all your files will be erased during formatting! 3) Power On Press and hold the POWER button to turn on the camcorder.
Your digital camcorder has different modes for the various camcorder functions. Use this mode to capture videos with your digital camcorder. This is the default mode when the camcorder is powered ON. To take a video, aim your camcorder as desired and press the Shutter button to start the record. The video icon turns red while record is in progress. To stop the record, press the Shutter button again. The video is automatically saved to your camcorder’s Micro SD memory card.

To be able to download photos and videos to your PC using the Polaroid Instant Memories Software, you will need the following minimum configuration: Microsoft® Windows XP with Service Pack 3, Windows Vista with Service Pack 1 or Windows 7 Pentium® 4 processor (or above)
1 GB of RAM, with 250 MB of free hard disk space
16-bit Color monitor, 1024 X 768 recommended screen resolution

Make sure the batteries have been inserted properly into your digital camcorder. Make sure the Micro SD card has been inserted properly into your camcorder. (Micro SD card up to 32GB - not included) Please see Initial Camera Setup for more information. Press and hold the Power button to turn your camcorder ON. After powering on, the LCD screen turns on with your camcorder in Video Capture mode to start.
Your camcorder has three main modes: 1) Video Capture Mode - Use this mode to capture videos with your camcorder. 2) Photo Capture Mode - Use this mode to capture photos with your camcorder. 3) Playback Mode (for photos and videos) - Use this mode to view the photos and videos you have already taken with your camcorder. When the camcorder is first powered ON, the Video Capture Mode will be active.
The Video Capture Mode allows you to capture videos with your digital camcorder. When the camcorder is first powered ON, the camcorder will be in Video Capture Mode. 1) Turn on the camcorder. 2) While in Video Capture Mode use the LCD display to direct the camcorder at the scene you would like to capture. 3) Press the Up and Down buttons to zoom in or out in order to better set the camera display if desired. Note: The zoom bar on the LCD indicates the zoom range.
1) Selecting your video: Once in Video Playback mode, press the UP or DOWN button to scroll through the video thumbnails until you find the movie you would like to view. Select the video and press the OK button to enlarge to full screen. 2) Playing your selected video: Press the OK button to START playing the video. Press the OK button again to PAUSE the video and to continue playing and pausing as desired.
The Photo Capture mode allows you to capture pictures with your digital camcorder. When the camcorder is first powered ON, the camera will be in Video Capture Mode. Press the MODE button once to access the Photo Capture Mode. 1) Power on your camcorder. Press the MODE button. 2) Use the LCD display on the back of the camera to direct the camera at the scene you would like to capture. 3) Press the Up and Down buttons to zoom in or out in order to better set the camera display if desired.
1) Selecting your Photo: Once in Photo Playback mode, press the UP or DOWN button to scroll through the photos thumbnails until you find the photo you would like to view. Select the photo and press the OK/Shutter button to enlarge to full screen. 2) Once in Photo Playback Mode, select the photo you would like to delete. 3) Press the MENU button to enter the Delete Menu. 4) Press the UP button or the DOWN button to select from the following options: - ‘Yes’: to delete the selected photo.
The following icons appear on the LCD screen and indicate the selected menu options and camera status.
Each camcorder mode has a set of menus specific to that mode. The general Camcorder Settings can also be accessed from the menu. 1) Press the MENU ( 2) Press the UP ) button to open the main menus for the current mode. button or the DOWN button to scroll between the various menus for the current mode. 3) Press the OK/Shutter button to select and open the highlighted menu option. 4) Press the UP button or the DOWN button to scroll between the various options within the selected menu.
The following are the menus and menu options that appear in your camera’s Photo/Video Capture Modes and Setup Mode: To enter the Video Capture Mode Menus: 1) Once in Video Capture Mode, press the MENU button. 2) Select the Video icon then press the OK/Shutter button to enter the Video Mode setup Menus. Quality The Quality menu allows you to select the desired quality level of the images taken by your camera.
Quality The Quality menu allows you to select the Super Fine Fine(Default) by your camera. Keep in mind that images Normal desired quality level of the images taken PHOTO quality setting with a higher image quality level will also take up more memory on your camera. Size 3M pixel resolution The Size menu allows you to choose the (default) desired size of the images taken by your 5M pixel resolution camera.
Scene The Scene Menu allows you to choose scene settings that let your camera to adapt properly to your current environment. Auto (default) Landscape Portrait Sport Night landscape Choose an existing Picture control Auto (default) 200 400 Sensitivity select Center (default) Average Spot Metering setting ISO The ISO menu allows you to set the level of sensitivity that your camera has to light in the surrounding environment.
Effects The Effect menu allows you to select a unique effect that can create an interesting look to your image. Normal (default) Negative Normal B/W Sepia Effects setting Sharpness You can set the level of sharpness in the images taken with your camera. The sharpness level dictates if the edges of objects in the image are more or less Standard Hard Soft Sharpness setting distinct. EV Setting The Light Exposure setting helps you control the amount of light that enters your camera’s lens.
TV Out NTSC American and Japanese TV format PAL European TV format Off Auto Power-Off off Auto power off in 1 min if no operation Auto power off in 3 min if no operation Auto power off in 5 min if no operation TV Out allows you to select the TV option appropriate for you to view your captured images on your television. Auto Power Off You can use the Auto Power Off feature in order to conserve you camera’s battery life. The designated time represents when your camera will automatically power off.
Language You can select your camera’s language setting by selecting the desired language from the Language menu. Sets the opening screen on or off. Sets the opening sound on or off.
1) Insert the installation CD into your CD-ROM drive. On PC: The Polaroid Instant Memories Installer window appears. If the window does not appear, open the application’s CD/DVD drive and click on “Setup.exe” to launch the installer. On Macintosh: Click the icon that appears on the desktop to install the Polaroid Instant Memories the click “Continue”. 2) Please review the license terms. PC: Click the “I accept the terms of the License Agreement” and then click “Next” to continue.
When you wish to view on High Definition (HD) TV, please use an HDMI cable (purchase separately) and connect as shown below: Set your HDTV to corresponding HDMI INPUT (review TV Manual if needed) and use camera buttons in the same way as you use camera during PLAYBACK mode. Enjoy watching pictures and HD VIDEO on large HDTV screen! 1) Use the USB cable that came with your camera to connect your camera to your computer. 2) Power the camera ON.
An SD card needs to be inserted. Do not disconnect the cable during transfer. Doing so will cancel the transfer of any files on their way to your computer. 1) Select the “Get Images” button from the Main menu. 2) The “Get Images from device” window opens. 3) You can select to download photos, videos or both. 4) Select your camera (removable disk) from the device window. If your camera is the only USB device connected then it will be selected automatically.

1) Use the USB cable that came with your camera to connect your camera to your computer. 2) MSDC appears on the LCD. 3) The camera’s device icon appears on the desktop. 4) Click on the device icon and open the DCIM folder and the folder inside to view the media files. 5) Select the files and drag them into your computer. Optionally, select the files and choose Copy from the Finder’s Edit menu. Then select a folder and choose Paste from the Edit menu.
After you make the connection, your iPad automatically opens the ‘Photos’ application. This allows you to choose which photos and videos to import and to organize them into albums. The digital camera is a delicate device. Please handle your camera with care to avoid damaging it. Do not expose your camera to heat sources.

Q: I have taken photos and selected the “Get Images” button. I get a message that the images were successfully transferred but the photos do not appear on my computer. What do I do? First ensure that you have in fact taken photos.
The Solution: 1) Replace with new 2x AA alkaline batteries. 2) Check that the batteries are correctly aligned when installed. Q: VIDEO or PICTURES cannot be saved when you are taking them. The Cause: 1) Micro SD card has not been installed. 2) The Micro SD card has not been formatted properly. 3) Memory is full. Display shows ‘MEMORY FULL’. The Solution: 1) Install Micro SD card. 2) Format the Micro SD card at SETUP mode of the camera. See section ‘Initial Camcorder Setup’.
This warranty covers the original consumer purchaser only and is not transferable.
