MOUNTING THE MICROPHONE 1. Screw the shock mount onto the threaded post of a mic stand. For 5/8-inch posts, remove the adapter bushing from the shock mount’s socket. 2. Once the shock mount is secure, loosen the locking ring on the bottom of the shock mount, and insert the base of the microphone though the mounting hole. 3. Tighten the locking ring until secure. 4. If needed, adjust the angle of the microphone by loosening the locking knob on the shock mount.
For the best recording results, the microphone should point directly at the sound source. Vocalists and announcers should be positioned approximately 6 to 12 inches from the microphone. For close vocal miking, use the included pop filter to prevent vocal pops or plosives. To attach the pop filter, snap it onto the stem just below the mic capsule, and make sure it’s directly in front of the microphone.
