2. IRON TEMPERATURE ADJUST-
MENT
Before ironing an item of clothing, always
check the symbols on its label, for the instruc-
tions provided by the manufacturer.
Check, based on the following table, the most
appropriate type of ironing and select the
most appropriate temperature on the iron (8):
3. STEAM IRONING
3.1 Make sure that chapter 1 has been comple-
ted and regulate the temperature of the iron
(9) as described in chapter 2
3.2 Wait for the “Steam Ready” indicator light
(5)(6) and “Iron Heating” indicator light (7) to
turn off.
3.3 Only for Vaporella 515 Pro Adjust the
steam flow by turning the knob in a clockwise
direction to increase the jet of steam (9). Tur-
ning it in an anticlockwise direction reduces
the steam flow. We recommend maximum for
heavy fabrics such as jeans and linen, medium
for cotton and minimum for lightweight or de-
licate fabrics.
3.4 Press the steam button (10) on the iron to
make steam come out of the holes on the pla-
te. Releasing the button, the flow stops. Pro-
ceed to iron the garments.
3.5 To have a continuous jet of steam move
the button forward (11). The steam will conti-
nue to come out even when the button is re-
leased. To interrupt the supply, move the but-
ton backward (11).
4. VERTICAL IRONING
It is possible to use the iron vertically to remo-
ve creases from fabrics and/or to freshen up
the fibres, eliminating possible residual
odours.
Hold the iron vertically, push the steam button
(10) and touch the fabric slightly with the so-
leplate, if the type of fabrics allows it.
5. DRY IRONING
For dry ironing, adjust the temperature of the
iron as described in Chapter 2. When dry iro-
ning, be careful not to press the steam button
since water could leak from the plate.
6. OUT OF WATER
When the appliance does not release steam
anymore, this means there is no more water in
the boiler.
ATTENTION: Do not place the hot iron on
any surface. Vaporella is equipped with an
iron rest mat with soft non-slip inserts desi-
gned to resist high temperatures.
The indicator lights Iron heating” and “Steam
ready” turn on and off during use. This indica-
tes that the electrical resistor has started to
work to keep the pressure of the boiler
steady. This is a normal occurrence, and it is
therefore possible to continue ironing.
High temperature – cotton, linen:
Set the iron temperature adjustment knob
to the position
•••
Medium temperature – wool, silk:
Set the iron temperature adjustment knob
to the position
••
Low temperature – synthetic, acrylic, ny-
lon, polyester:
Set the iron temperature adjustment knob
to the position
- Do not iron
- Steam ironing and steam treatment not
allowed
When first using the steam, there may be so-
me drops of water leaking out of the plate,
this is due to imperfect thermal stabilization.
We therefore recommend that the first jet of
steam be directed onto a cloth (clean rag).
Divide the laundry according to the symbols
on the garment labels or according to the
kind of fabric. Always start ironing with the
garments that require the lowest tempera-
ture, in order to reduce the waiting times
and avoid the risk of burning the fabrics.
ATTENTION: For low temperature we do not
recommend the use of steam since water
could come out from the holes on the sole-
plate. For medium temperature alternate the
use of steam and dry ironing to avoid water
leaking from the holes on the soleplate.
