Class A Digital Device or Peripheral - Polycom

RealPresence Trio™ Visual+ Accessory
This equipment has been tested and found to comply with the limits for a Class A digital device, pursuant
to Part 15 of the FCC Rules. These limits are designed to provide reasonable protection against harmful
interference when the equipment is operated in a commercial environment. This equipment generates,
uses, and can radiate radio frequency energy and, if not installed and used in accordance with the
instructions, may cause harmful interference to radio communications. Operation of this equipment in a
residential area is likely to cause harmful interference in which case the user will be required to correct
the interference at his own expense.
Modifications
In accordance with Part 15 of the FCC Rules, the user is cautioned that any changes or modifications not
expressly approved by Polycom, Inc. could void the user’s authority to operate the equipment. This
equipment may not be used on a coin service or party line.
Installation Instructions
Installation must be performed in accordance with all relevant national wiring rules.

When using Power over Ethernet (PoE), the equipment is to be connected only to PoE networks without
connections to the outside plant.
Power-Saving Mode
By default, the Poly Trio 8300, Polycom
®
RealPresence Trio™ 8800 and Polycom
®
RealPresence Trio™
8500 systems enter power-saving mode after a period of idle time to conserve energy. However, the
Polycom Trio™ systems do not enter power-saving mode while at idle in the Bluetooth or Wi-Fi (Poly
Trio 8300 & Polycom
®
RealPresence Trio™ 8800 system only) menus. To ensure the system enters
power-saving mode, exit the Bluetooth or Wi-Fi menu using the Home or Back key.
In low power mode, the system maintains a network presence and address and supports the handling of
IPV4 ARP and IPV6 NS/ND. The system, when in LPM, can wake up on a remote network request such
as incoming call.
Plug Acts as Disconnect Device
The socket outlet to which this apparatus is connected must be installed near the equipment and must
always be readily accessible.
