2 If you are not sure which connector you cut off, use the following tables
to perform a continuity check between the connector and the cable colors.
If you cut off P1, skip to step 4. If you cut off P2, continue with step 3.
3 If you cut off P2, re-terminate the cable with a shielded RJ-45 connector
using the following tables, then skip to step 5.
4 If you cut off P1, re-terminate the cable with an RJ-45 8-pin plug using the
following tables, then continue with step 5.
5 Whether you re-terminated the P1 or P2 end of the cable, at this point the
cable can be connected directly to the system and to the first microphone.
If it is necessary to install an extension to the system’s RJ-45 connection
on a wall plate or panel, create a custom pinout cable using shielded
CAT5 cable. The cable is terminated on one end to either a shielded CAT5
