Symptom Problem Corrective Action
There are power issues. The SoundPoint IP 670 phone 
has no power.
Do one of the following:
• Check if the phone is properly plugged 
into a functional AC outlet. 
• If using PoE, check that the ethernet 
cable is properly plugged into the 
phone and the outlet port. Contact 
your system administrator to ensure 
that you are using a powered port, 
enabled for PoE.
• Make sure that the phone isn't 
plugged into a plug controlled by a 
light switch that is off.
• If the phone is plugged into a power 
strip, try plugging it directly into a wall 
outlet instead.
• Try the phone in another room where 
the electricity is known to be working 
on a particular outlet.
Symptom Problem Corrective Action
The dial pad does not work. The dial pad on the SoundPoint 
IP 670 phone does not respond.
Do one of the following:.
• Verify that the phone is unlocked (the 
information status should not read 
“This Phone is Locked”.
• Check to make sure the phone is 
turned on (check display, other keys, 
lights, try to place a call).
• Contact your system administrator.
