OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
USING THE TOOL WITH DIFFERENT TRIGGERING OPTIONS
Complete all steps of PREPARING THE TOOL before using the tool.
The tool is shipped from the factory with a dual trigger actuation system. The
secondary trigger (B) Fig. 19 must be depressed in order to depress the
primary trigger (A) Fig. 19. Each time the primary trigger is depressed the tool
will fire a fastener.
Each time a fastener is driven, a blast of air will be exhausted from the rear of
the tool. Keep your face away from this area.
DANGER: Keep fingers AWAY from trigger when not driving
fasteners to avoid accidental firing. Never carry tool with finger on
trigger.
Never point tool at yourself or others in work area.
Never attempt to drive a fastener into material that is too hard, or at
too steep an angle, or near the edge of the workpiece. The fastener
can ricochet causing personal injury.
WARNING: Disconnect tool from air supply before performing
maintenance, clearing a jammed fastener, leaving work area,
moving tool to another location, or handing the tool to another
person.
WARNING: Clean and inspect tool daily. Carefully check for proper
operation of trigger and safety mechanism. Do Not use the tool
unless both the trigger and the safety mechanism are functional, or
if the tool is leaking air or needs any other repair.
The depth that a fastener is driven is controlled by the pressure of the air
supply. The amount of air pressure required will vary depending on the
length of the fastener and the material being fastened. Experiment with the
air pressure setting to determine the lowest setting that will consistently
perform the job at hand. Air pressure in excess of that required can cause
premature wear and/or damage to the tool.
CLEARING A JAMMED FASTENER
1. WARNING: Disconnect tool from air supply.
2. Remove fasteners from magazine.
3. Using 2.5mm hex wrench, remove two bolts (A) Fig. 23 and front plate
(B).
4. Remove the jammed fastener (C)
Fig. 23. Also examine the feed track
and clear any damaged pins or pin
fragments.
5. Re-install front plate and bolts
removed in step 3.
6. Re-load fasteners and close
magazine cover. Make certain cover
snaps in place.
