Before operation, gasoline must be mixed with a good quality synthetic 2-cycle air-cooled engine oil designed to be mixed at a ratio of 40:1. Poclan/Weed Eater brand synthetic oil is recommended. A40:1 ratio is obtained by mixing 3.2 ounces 95 ml) of oil with 1 gallon (4 liters) of unleaded gasoline. Included with this saw is a 3.

It is recommended that the engine not be operated for longer than 30 seconds at full throttle.
NOTE: Before felling cut is complete, use wedges to open the cut if necessary to control the direction of fall. To avoid kickback and chain damage, use wood or plastic wedges, but never steel or iron wedges. • Be alert to signs that the tree is ready to fall: cracking sounds, widening of the felling cut, or movement in the upper branches. • As tree starts to fall, stop saw, put it down, and get away quickly on your planned retreat path. • DO NOT cut down a partially fallen tree with your saw.
