MAINTAIN CONTROL • Reduced-Kickback Guide Bar, designed with a small radius tip which reduces the size of the kickback danger zone on the bar tip. A Reduced-Kickback Guide Bar has been demonstrated to significantly reduce the number and seriousness of kickbacks when tested in accordance with safety requirements for gasoline powered chain saws as set by ANSI B175.1.

REMOVING A PINCHED SAW (A SAW HUNG IN THE LOG) • If saw becomes pinched or hung in a Iog_ don't try to force it out. You can lose control of the saw resulting in personal injury and/or damage to the saw. Stop the saw and drive plastic or wooden wedge into the cut until saw can be removed easily. • Restart the saw and carefully reenter the cut. To avoid kickback and chain damage, do not use a metal wedge. Do not attempt to restart your saw when it is pinched or hung in a log.
AIR FILTER CAUTION: Do not clean filter in gasoline or other flammable solvent to avoid creating a fire hazard or producing harmful evaporative emissions, IGNITION TIMING Ignition timing is fixed and nonadjustable. SPARK PLUG Replace the spark plug yearly. STORAGE Cleaning the air filter: A dirty air filter decreases engine performance and increases fuel consumption and harmful emissions. Always clean after every 5 hours of operation.
