INSTALLATION EXPERIENCE Installation of PowerBass Autosound Speakers requires experience with a variety of mechanical and electrical procedures. This manual only provides general installation and operation instructions. If you have any reservations about your installation skills or lack of the proper tools, please contact your local PowerBass Autosound dealer for assistance.
INSTALLATION PRECAUTIONS NOTE: Proceed only if you are a qualified installer otherwise; let your dealer do it. • Always wear protective eyewear when using tools. • Turn off all stereo and other electrical devices before you begin. • Disconnect the (-) negative lead from your vehicle's battery. • Keep the speakers in the package until final installation.
6X9" SPEAKER INSTALL (OE692-FD, OE69C-FD) 1. After removing the door panel, unplug speaker plug from factory speaker. 2. To remove the factory speaker unscrew the 4 x 7mm screws (do not discard these screws you will need them to Install your new speaker). 3. Remove factory speaker. 4. Now you're ready to install your new speaker. 5. Fit speaker in place and make sure all mounting holes line up. Install with the four 4 x 7mm screws you removed from lhe factory speaker. 6.
6.5" SPEAKER INSTALL (OE652-FD, OE65C-FD) 1. After removing the door panel, unplug speaker plug from factory speaker. 2. To remove the factory speaker, unscrew the 3 x 7mm bolts (do not discard these screws you will need them to install your new speaker) 3. Remove factory speaker. Now you're ready to install your new speaker. 4. Fit speaker in place and make sure all mounting holes line up. Install with the 3 x 7mm screws you removed from the factory speaker. 5.
DOOR TWEETER INSTALL (OE69C-FD, OE65C-FD) 1. Remove door panel or unclip tweeter cover/housing to gain access to the factory tweeter. 2. Unclip the factory tweeter from its housing. • 3. Now clip-in your new tweeter making sure it's aligned correctly and lully secure. 4. Locate the 2-pin tweeter adapter plug and connect It to your new tweeter (Fig 2), making sure the polarity is correct. 5.
"A" PILLAR TWEETER INSTALL (OE69C-FD, OE65C-FD) the factory tweeter. 2. Un-screw and remove the factory tweeter. (Do not discard the screws you will need them to install your new tweeter). 3. Locate both left and right A pillar mounting brackets and hardware. Attach brackets to your new tweeters (Fig. 1) Make sure you use the L bracket for the driver's side and the R bracket for the passenger's side. 4.
