Changing Fuels
1. Make sure generator is turned OFF.
2. Unplug all electrical loads from the unit's
receptacles.
3. Place generator on a level surface.
4. If switching from LPG to gasoline, make
sure the LPG Tank valve is turned OFF
and disconnect LPG fuel tank from gener-
ator.
If switching from Gasoline to LPG, follow the
LPG connecting procedure in section Liquid
Petroleum Gas (LPG).
5. Turn the Fuel Selection Dial to the desired
fuel.
6. Check fuel supply of the selected fuel.
7. Follow the Starting Pull Start Engines or
Starting Electric Start Engines procedure
to start the generator.
Starting Pull Start Engines
1. Unplug all electrical loads from the unit's
receptacles before starting engine.
2. Place generator on a level surface.
3. Open the fuel shut-off valve (A). See Fig-

4. Turn engine Start/On/Off switch (B) on the
control panel to On (manual start only).
See Figure 3-3.
5. Move engine choke knob (C) on control
panel outward to Full Choke position. See
Figure 3-3.
Figure 3-3.Choke Position
6. Firmly grasp recoil handle and pull slowly
until increased resistance is felt. Pull rap-
idly up and away.
7. When engine starts, move choke knob to
1/2-choke position until engine runs
smoothly, then fully into Off position. If
engine falters, move choke back to 1/2-
choke position until engine runs smoothly,
then to Off position.
NOTE: If engine fires, but does not continue to
run, move choke lever to Full Choke and
repeat starting instructions.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Do not overload the
generator. Also, do not overload individual
panel receptacles. These outlets are pro-
tected against overload with push-to-reset-
type circuit breakers. If amperage rating of
any circuit breaker is exceeded, that
breaker opens and electrical output to that
receptacle is lost. Read Know Generator
Limits carefully.
