Remove the wire from the spark plug and keep the wire away from the plug to prevent accidental starting. Thoroughly inspect the blower for any damage. Engine Preparation • Save all instructions A Engine Oil CAUTION SAE Engine shipped without oil. Failure to add oil will result in serious engine damage. SAE 10W-30 A bottle of engine oil is included with your blower. Refer to the chart on the right for alternative oil types to use at different temperatures. Always use a high quality detergent oil classified “For Service, SG, SH, SJ” or higher. Do not use special additives. CAUTION SAE 30 TEMP -20 Always use recommended oil type.
Engine Preparation (Continued) • Save all instructions B Fuel WARNING • Gasoline is extremely flammable and vapors can explode if ignited. Handle with care. Use fresh, clean, unleaded gasoline with a minimum of 88 Octane and a maximum of 10% ethanol. Do NOT use leaded gasoline, gasohol, methanol, or diesel fuel. Do NOT mix oil with gasoline. Do NOT allow gasoline to become contaminated with dust, water, or debris. NOTICE Using incorrect fuel type or contaminated fuel will cause serious engine damage.
Operation • Save all instructions A Before Starting the Engine (Continued) WARNING Keep all bystanders, especially CHILDREN, away during operation. IMPORTANT: This unit’s engine exhaust system is equipped with a spark-arresting muffler. Tampering with or removing the spark-arrestor violates section 4442 of the California Public Resources Code as well as other applicable state and federal law. A How to Start Engine DANGER Never Run engine indoors or in a poorly ventilated area.
Operation (Continued) • Save all instructions C How to Stop the Blower Move the ON/OFF Switch to the OFF position. (See figure 6) D How to Adjust the Vertical Flow Angle The vertical air flow direction can be adjusted between 3 positions: Straight (level), 15 degrees upward, and 15 degrees downward. Refer to Figure 8 when performing the adjustment steps below: 1. Stop the engine. 2. Pull the index lever out of its existing hole. 3. Rotate the index lever to the desired position. 4.
Operation (Continued) • Save all instructions E Storage of front flow attachment When not in use, the front flow attachment can be stored under the frame at the rear of the unit. To secure the attachment for storage, follow the steps below and refer to Figure 10: 1. Turn the attachment so “This Side Up For STORAGE” is up. 2. Insert the attachment into frame opening, with the orientation identified on the label. 3. The edge of the attachment will be supported by a bracket under the frame. 4.
Maintenance • Save all instructions A Maintenance Schedule WARNING Before performing any maintenance, turn engine off and remove the wire from the spark plug to prevent accidental starting and serious injury. IMPORTANT: The warranty on this blower does not cover items that have been subjected to operator abuse or negligence. To receive full value from the warranty, the operator must maintain the blower as instructed in this manual, and only use genuine replacement parts.
Maintenance (Continued) • Save all instructions B How to Change the Engine Oil NOTE: Refer to Figure 11 when following the steps below: 1. Stop the engine and let it cool. 2. Disconnect spark plug wire from the spark plug. 3. Insert a flat pan under the blower, underneath the oil drain plug and frame hole. 4. Remove oil dipstick. (See Figure 3) 5. Remove the oil drain bolt and washer. 6. Allow all oil to drain through the frame hole into the pan. IMPORTANT: Used oil is a hazardous waste.
Maintenance (Continued) • Save all instructions D How to Check the Spark Plug Spark Plug Model: Torch F7RTC NOTICE Only use the recommended spark plug or a spark plug with the same temperature range. Using an improper spark plug, an incorrect spark plug gap, or a dirty/fouled spark plug can reduce engine performance and cause damage. 1. Stop engine and allow it to cool. 2. Remove spark plug wire from spark plug. 3. Use the spark plug wrench and rod (included with blower) to remove the spark plug.

Préparation du moteur • Conservez toutes les instructions. A Huile à moteur MISE EN GARDE SAE Le moteur et expédié sans huile. Le défaut d’ajouter de l’huile causera de sérieux dommages au moteur. SAE 10W-30 Une bouteille d’huile à moteur est incluse avec votre souffleuse. Veuillez référer à la Figure 3 pour connaître les types alternatifs d’huile à utiliser selon les différentes températures. Utilisez toujours une huile détergente classifiée «Pour Service, SG, SH, SJ» ou plus élevé.

Manipulez avec soin. Utilisez une essence régulière sans plomb fraîche et propre, avec un indice d’octane de 88 minimum et un maximum de 10% d’éthanol. N’utilisez PAS d’essence avec plomb, essence-alcool, méthanol ou carburant diesel. Ne mélangez PAS d’huile à l’essence.

IMPORTANT : Le système d’échappement du moteur de l’unité est équipé d’un silencieux avec pare-étincelles. Le fait de trafiquer ou de retirer le pare-étincelles contrevient à la section 4442 du code “California Public Resources Code”, ainsi qu’à d’autres lois fédérales et d’état applicables.

D Comment régler l’angle de débit vertical La direction de l’angle de débit vertical peut être réglée en 3 positions différentes : tout droit (au niveau), 15 degrés vers le haut et 15 degrés vers le bas. Insérez un récipient plat sous la souffleuse, directement sous le bouchon de vidange d’huile et l’orifice du châssis. 4. Retirez la jauge graduée. (Voir Figure 3) 5. SAE 10W-30 Se incluye un envase de aceite automotriz con el soplador. Consultar el diagrama a la derecha para obtener información sobre tipos alternativos de aceite a usarse a diferentes temperaturas. Siempre utilizar un aceite detergente de alta calidad clasificado «Para servicio SG, SH, SJ» o superior.

Apagar el motor que ha estado funcionando (motor caliente) y dejarlo enfriar durante 5 minutos. 2. Desconectar el cable de la bujía de la bujía. 3. Insertar una palangana bajo de el soplador, debajo del tapón de drenaje del aceite y del agujero del marco. (Véase la figura 10) 4. Retirar la varilla aforadora.
