1.1 Switch lock-out
To safeguard your machine from unauthorized
operation and accidental starting by young children,
the use of a padlock (not included) is highly
recommended. See Figure 1-1.
To lock out the emergency switch:
1. Press E-stop button to engage emergency stop.
2. Insert padlock through hole in E-stop guard,
and close padlock. (Padlock shaft must be thick
enough to prevent E-stop button from
disengaging.)
3. Place key in a location inaccessible to children
and others not qualified to use the tool.

2.0 About this manual
This manual is provided by Powermatic covering the safe operation and maintenance procedures for a
Powermatic Model PM-2X2R and PM-2X4SP CNC Router. This manual contains instructions on installation,
safety precautions, general operating procedures, maintenance instructions and parts breakdown. Your machine
has been designed and constructed to provide consistent, long-term operation if used in accordance with the
instructions set forth in this document.
This manual is not intended to be an exhaustive guide to CNC operational methods, use of jigs or after-market
accessories, choice of stock or cutting bits, etc. Additional knowledge can be obtained from experienced users
or trade articles. Whatever accepted methods are used, always make personal safety a priority.
