This tool is intended for consumer use only. WARNING! For your own safety, read this manual and the general safety instructions carefully before using the appliance. Wear eye protection Read manual before use Never operate the machine in the rain or in damp or wet conditions. Moisture is an electrical shock hazard. In accordance with essential safety standards of applicable European directives Class II - The machine is double insulated; Earthing wire is therefore not necessary.

POW6010P     EN Do not expose power tools to rain or wet conditions. If water gets inside a power tool, it will increase the risk of a lethal electric shock. Do not damage the cord. Never use the cord for carrying, pulling or unplugging the power tool. Keep the cord away from heat, oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or entangled cords increase the risk of a lethal electric shock. When operating a power tool outdoors, use an extension cable suitable for outdoor use.

EN POW6010P 7 ASSEMBLING The grass trimmer is supplied with some components not assembled. To assemble these proceed as follows: 7.1 Mounting the guard (Fig 1) Screw the protective shield to the device with the 2 screws. Caution! During this operation beware of the wire cutter blade. You may be wounded. Caution! Never use the grass trimmer without the guard. It is vital for your and other peoples’ safety and for the good working order of the trimmer.

EN POW6010P 8.6 Extending the cords by hand If the cords have already become too short they will not extend by tapping. You must pull them out of the cord spool by hand.  Lay the product on the ground.  Press your hand on the bottom of the spool and pull the two cords out until they are slightly longer than the edge of the protective shield.  The cords are cut to the right length by the cutting knife when used again. 8.

POW6010P EN 11 TROOBLESHOOTING Fault/malfunction Motor not running Cause Mains plug inserted? Mains plug defective? Cord used up? Cord spool blocked? Remedy Plug in the mains plug. Contact an expert. Cord is not unreeling Changing the cord. Eliminate the cause of the blockage If you cannot eliminate the error yourself, please contact service department directly. Please be aware that any improper repairs will also invalidate the warranty and additional costs may be incurred.

POW6010P       EN Definitely excluded from the warranty is damage resulting from fluid permeation, excessive dust penetration, intentional damage (on purpose or by gross carelessness), inappropriate usage (use for purposes for which the device is not suitable), incompetent usage (e.g. not following the instructions given in the manual), inexpert assembly, lightning strike, erroneus net voltage. This list is not exhaustive.
