8.1 Assembly of chainsaw sharpening attachment
Depending on your particular chain saw, make sure your assemble your new sharpener
properly as follows:
Refer to the drawing below for the correct grinding stone.
When you have determined the correct grinding stone for your chain from the drawing,
assemble the attachment by screwing the guide (B) and appropriate number of spaces (C)
to the clamp (D) using the two screws (A), as shown in the figure 1.
i. If using the 5,5mm (pink) grinding stone, assemble both
spacers between the guide and the clamp.
ii. If using the 4,8mm (orange) grinding stone, assemble both
spacers between the guide and the clamp.
iii. If using the 4,0mm (bleu) grinding stone, no spacers are
needed.
iv. If using the 4,5mm (white) grinding stone, assemble 1 spacer
between the guide and the clamps.
Securely mount the correct grinding stone in your tool with approximately 6,35mm of the
shank exposed between the chuck cap and the stone (figure 2).
Remove the housing cap and screw on the chainsaw sharpening attachment (Figure .3)
Using the appropriate side of the gauge €, adjust the guide so it is properly positioned with
respect to the grinding stone and tighten the screws. The gauge must be flush with the
corner(G) of the guide while making contact with the grinding stone (figure 4).
