Instructions for Use Assembling the PowerXL Indoor Grill & Griddle 1. Place the Drip Tray in the Base (see Fig. 1). Grill Figure 1 2. Set the Temperature Control Dial to the off ("O") position.
General Operating Instructions Using the Power XL Indoor Grill & Griddle 1. Assemble the appliance (see the "Assembling the PowerXL Indoor Grill & Griddle" section). 2. Set the Temperature Control Dial to the off ("O") position. Insert the Temperature Control Dial fully into the Temperature Control Dial Socket (NOTE: If the Temperature Control Dial is not fully inserted into the Temperature Control Dial Socket, the appliance might not heat properly, which can result in damage to the appliance). 3.
General Operating Instructions Tips • Always preheat the appliance before using it. • Be careful when biting into freshly cooked food containing fillings such as cheese, tomato, or jam, because these fillings retain heat and can burn if eaten too quickly after cooking. • It is not necessary to butter the outside of bread since this appliance has a non-stick surface. However, if you would like to brown the bread, it is recommended spreading a small amount of butter or margarine on the outside of bread.
Cleaning & Storage Care & Cleaning • Turn the Temperature Control Dial to the off ("O") position and allow the appliance to cool completely before cleaning. • Unplug the Temperature Control Dial from the appliance and then the power outlet. DO NOT IMMERSE THE TEMPERATURE CONTROL DIAL IN WATER OR ANY OTHER LIQUID. • Remove the Grill/Griddle Plate (see the "Using the Reversible Grill/Griddle Plate" section). • Carefully remove the Drip Tray.
